Re: Project RRN with R6 tail plastics
Forgive me fellow bladers for i have sinned....
I just havent had the time guys. Ive been busy working on the house, finishing off garage, erecting conservatory, new kitchen, new bathroom, new windows & decorating top to bottom (house now for sale... women????)
Also what with the current financial climate ive been having to spend more time out at work visiting my customers & keeping them sweet so that we dont lose any business.
I have a week off in February so hopefully get some work done guys.
Apollogies yet again guys for the sheer neglect of my bike but hey............ shit happens! Lol.

Re: Project RRN with R6 tail plastics
I need to sort out the electrics, shorten some wires & extend others, mate up the Blade harness with the R6 tail harness & find homes for relays, regulator/rectifier & cdi etc etc so that I can get it running again.
Then its just a case of sorting out the paint & decals during the summer months when its a bit warmer for spraying.

Re: Project RRN with R6 tail plastics
Well she is in the conservatory & I shall be starting on the electrics tomorrow all being well.
The only other thing I did today was to decide what front mudguard to use:
This one? But I will spray the shrouds white........
Or this one........
Ive opted to go with the red mudguard & the latter is in the For Sale section if anyone is interested?

Re: Project RRN with R6 tail plastics
That looks more comfortable to work in rather than a dark cold shed.
You should have it finished in a few days then?
PS, there is a wheel missing off the paddock stand!

Re: Project RRN with R6 tail plastics
I will definately get me electrics sorted cabbie.
However I need to have a play with the tail plastics & possibly tweak the subframe to get the solo seat cover to line up nicely with the tail plastics. Its not quite sitting right at the moment, the gap around the pod isnt equal all the way round it.
ps. Yeah I know. The guy that use to own the Hornet 600 I had gave me the rear paddock stand as he was giving up the biking scene.

and do the drying up too, that tea towel doesn't go with the paint.

Re: Project RRN with R6 tail plastics
Or maybe the standard blue one?
Why didn't I think of building a conservatory to keep the bike in?
Bit warmer than out in the cold, I dare say, with that radiator behind the bike!

Never!
As for the conservatory idea Dave, dont do it!
Cold in the winter & too bloody hot in the summer. Total waste of money. IMHO. But she who must be obeyed wanted it!

I found that rug in me garage but turned it upside down incase the wife realises ive nicked it.
As for the floral windows, its just like a window tint, easily applied & removed. saves looking at the fence! Lol.
Thought you would like it you big softie!
