Cam chain tensioner tools
Ok, the blade manuals say you need the special Honda tools
07ZMG MCAA400
OR
07NMG MY90100
.......to hold the cam chain tensioner at the limit of wear to your chain.
This is a £20 tool, which is T shaped and 1mm thick!
I found that in the 929 manual there is an instruction diagram as an alternative to using the Honda tool.
So if you're into a bit of spannering your self, and you are going to change shims after a valve check , or your just a bit strange like me and want to check your tensioner operation then save your self £20 and make one of these beauties.

It has to be done mate!
I was contemplating buying one from Silver's but it was niggling away at me exactly what and how it does it, at first I was going to use a small screwdriver, but then I'd have to hold the screwdriver in place whilst I bolt the tensioner back on etc, which would be a tall order considering the amount of room you have as the tensioner is right by the frame spar cradle.
45 mins research this morning and I saved myself, and hopefully a lot of others £20!

Your lucky,
On the RR's there's no room for anything longer than a match stick to get in there
