f**k me mate...its been squished to buggery!...but we knew that.
well,....all is not lost...I still have a Spondon blade to build...and on the shelf I have an awesome motor for my next build...a blackbird fighter!!
What a total pain in the arse mate! nothin worse than having a major part of a build go belly up on ya, been there done that
Yeah the frame wasn't good but I never had another to be able to properly compare it, sorry that didn't work out for ya mate..
Now come on now you have more than enough projects on the go, I think you alt to give me that blackbird engine as mine isn't far from finished & you know you don't want it gathering dust in the corner of your garage!

Re: my spondon blade
Sorry it's not gone to plan!
Everuy cloud has a silver lining.
I'd go with a Turbo'd blade engine in the Spondon frame, aim for 180rwbhp minimum.
Then keep the tuned 1200 bird engine for the blade chassis, (with a proper billet bracket bolted to the frame mount please)
a turbo'd 1200 Bird derived thing would be lovely - if you lived at santa pod!

Re: my spondon blade
yep...wouldn't be that colour
but I could throw that together pretty easy...
R1 forks /wheel/ brakes and custom yokes
I have a VFR swingarm and wheel...and a R6 seat unit, downpipes in the way...got a Yoshi Tri_oval pipe in the garage...
other than the front end..I'll need a tank , suspension unit and frame...sorted!

Re: my spondon blade
That black and yellow thing is a gorgeous machine, I wouldn't have it those colours if I were blind but all the same it's lovely.
There's not a lot of offset on those yokes though RB, Look how close the bottom yoke is to the frame, I bet he's had to build up the stops quite a bit.
Might be best to use another front end.
thou RR maybe, with radial calipers
