my spondon blade
gonna be a long time til its done
going for a deadline of TT 2010
the engine was bought off Griz...hopefully you'll approve of what I'm doing to your old girl!
got the engine out of the blade frame yesterday, what a bastard job that was...the lower engine mount bolt was seized in....took friggin ages..had to get the grinder and a dremel on it in the end!
then sat the frame on the engine...
now here's the thing...
whilst the engine is out....was thinking about thowing a set of cams at it and having a bit of head work done,..just to spice it up a bit
in my racing cbr6's it was just cams and inlet/outlet machining, but it was a good reliable 20+bhp extra.
here's some pics.

Re: my spondon blade
yes mate..ZX10r forks, brakes and both wheels.
I have a set of 06 GSXR 750 forks in the garage..spare!
look the same, use the same brake calipers...but I picked the ZX10 front up so I didn't have to change them to fit the kwak wheel I had
gis a shout if you're interested!

Re: my spondon blade
Been busy today
started with this..
then did this
then fitted the yokes off the blade ( backwards) so I could fit bars to push it around ( no,...not having renthals!!)
then put a gsxr wheel in just to get it moving ( using ZX10r wheels!)
then took it outside for some air
then played with a few seat units...
not sure about the R6 one...got some more to try
so...good day
and I have more pics of the steering head for yan..top yoke should be on the way soon ( in between his Turbo bits I hope  )

Re: my spondon blade
this project has just taken a bit of a change of direction...
I've just bought a Tuned big bore 1200cc Blackbird engine
lets see if it'll go in...
so the turbo will be going on the blade when I've finished the Sponny
Spondon BlackBlade and a Turbo Blade....that'll do !

Re: my spondon blade
Thats great mate! I was gonna fit a blackbird engine in a blade next too! it should go in the spondon frame no problem, although the mounting points are a bit different but I'm sure you'll figure it out!

Re: my spondon blade
thought it might be you!!
haha
so..today I checked out the clearance of the frame with the impending arrival of the bigger engine...
should be fine...fingers crossed
and then I unwrapped a lovely bit of billet sculpture from Mr Yantosh
nice innit!
I can get it off the stands when the wheel spindle arrives..and the bars
all by Yan again...
