Thats a good price cabbie. Im looking forward to the forthcoming updates as the rear end goes on & the front end gets changed etc.

Me too, I can't wait to fit the modded Zorst with the upward pointing can

Stated fitting the new Zorst, here's the stainless pipe and can
I don't like how it looks laying almost flat and adding a can support will be a problem so I've cut the pipe just before the bend
Now I just need to turn the cut off part till I have the angle I want
Now it looks better and the can support will be no problem once the subframe lower sections are fitted, I've made the lower sections but they need welding so I'll be off to see Alex Monday to get them and the pipe done.

Here's the lower subframe struts, I made a little jig so they get welded exatly the same angle.
I also made a stainless steel rear spindle nut as the original has gone a bit rusty

Just picked up the lower subframe struts, he didn't get the pipe welded so I gave him a kick in the goolies, I'll get the pipe tomorrow and fit it all on to see how it looks.

Re: GSXR 600 K5 tail conversion + quite a bit more in the end.
Looking great, a bit more aggression on the cowl perhaps.
The colour scheme has always been with all my blades.
A deep gold on the standard wheels drew a lot of attention which was soon followed up by HRC 07 model.

Re: GSXR 600 K5 tail conversion + quite a bit more in the end.
Got loads done tonight.
Fitted the lower subframe struts
Subframe in place and rock solid, nice.
Alpha welding did a superb job on the re-angled pipe
Here's a few pix with the seat cowl fitted, looking forward to the Ohlins shock going in and the swing arm being sand blasted etc. the riding position felt perfect too.

Re: GSXR 600 K5 tail conversion + quite a bit more in the end.
Here's the rad I removed two days ago, not nice
I was going to just by a new rad and fan till I found out the cost so restoration time.
£20 worth of high temp and hammerite paint and some new screws etc later
Tomorrow I'm taking the "mint" condition wheel to motoliners for straightening, the 929 front end arrived but those thieving customs fuckers are demanding another £101 legalised robbery I call it

Re: GSXR 600 K5 tail conversion + quite a bit more in the end.
Nice work on the rad matey!
As for customs think yourself lucky, I've bought a quite a lot of parts from the states. Customs usually charge me £70 odd for a pair of forks. You can never tell with customs sometimes they won't charge you at all & other times they put a massive duty on it, it does pee my off though.
Thats a shame about the wheel mate, how bad is it? are the rest of the parts ok?
