lambchops wrote:What's required to fit the oz aprillia front wheel, have you used aprillia disks or do the cbr ones fit? Did you have to change internal collars and bearings also? Also do you know the weight of the front wheel before disks/ tyres? Sorry lots of questions
In 929 front end it almost drops straight in, you need new spacer to centre the wheel, thats about it, I used Mille disc's with 1mm washers between wheel and disc's to line them up with the calipers, they are super light.
So, progress, ground down and shaped the frame tops, started fitting the shock mount bar, will need to replace 320mm blade shock with a 290mm Aprillia item, off to ebay I go

Re: 3rd rebuild :)
Cabbie...? Did you ever do a write up on the tailpiece on your second project? Did you fabricate it from scratch and what about the subframe, looks like your using alloy plates or something...
keep up the good work BTW

Re: 3rd rebuild :)
Al it's featured in this months Streetfighter mag. Was made from scratch with 1/4" ply sections tacked and taped and then the alloy sections were fitted over to weld into place. Same with tank

looks great. Not 100% sure I like the angled look over the smooth rounded GP end on there before. Always hard to tell from pics though and of course its not finished yet so hard to tell
