Now then

I met Filo and Zigzag just off the A1 at Doncaster. Zigzag had rode up from Luton ( That lad will do anything for a point Laughing ) respect We rode through the tree lined avenue with rolling park land either side in Clumber Park, which was lovely in the fresh, bright morning sunshine and we were first to arrive at CMC Chesterfield dance

and went straight in for a warming coffee. Zigzag had an enormous burger and a plate of chips for his second breakfast whistle

Freddy arrived next and was followed by Gary and Ste and his Mate Chris (nice to meet you Chris). We had a look around the bikes in the shop and then around the clothes and accesories too. Zigzag and Freddy bought a pair of glove inners each and I treat myself to a new pair of winter gloves that were on offer.

We rode to Matlock Bath for fish 'n' chips after a photo

Filo, Freddy, Zigzag and myself rode South from Matlock (quickest way to the M1 for Me and Filo) and Ste, Gary and Chris rode North West home. It was a very good start to the biking year and Fan-bloody-tastic to get back on a bike after 6 months nanadance

respect to all who made the journey and special credit to 'Garfield' Laughing for the effort and distance he travelled so early in the year, on a cold day, to meet up clap

Cheers

Was a bit over priced for bikes and kits, so not surprised it closed down. caf'e was good tho, and they were pretty good at arranging test rides..always a shame to lose a local bike shop, if we used them more than we did the internet then there might still be loads open..which reminds me, there used to be a wee bike shop just as you went through the town is it still there?.

Been gone a while that one, same thing really, expensive bikes and kit.

Shop local to me is Mick Byrne, i try to get stuff from him, as he is only round the corner, even if it is a few pounds more, it doesn't matter, for the convenience. Smile
