Re: Blade day 2012
Good to see everyone who made it at the Ace today
I'd met Mique and George before and it was great to see them again but it was also a genuine pleasure to meet for the first time :-
Tyfio and his son Alex (who was on his CBR 400)
Wes
Lambchops, on his very tidy and extremely clean lookin Blade, that paint job is a belter Mate
Gumsey Mileage
Haggler
& last but not least, a long lost member who's site name is fireblade46 (don't be a stranger Mate)
We 'chewed the fat', drank coffee and talked bollox, as you do
I'd arrived about 09:00, to be greeted by scotty80 in the bike park then headed inside for the breakfast I was craving and met Tyfio and Alex already inside. Next to arrive was Wes and Lambchops followed by Mique and Gumsey. Fireblade46 (Steve) re-introduced himself to Mique, who couldn't remember him, even though he'd worked on steve's last Blade, one of the yellow, purple and black model's. Mind you, Mique is getting on Haggler arrived straight from his weekend away at a Mates and we all made our way inside as a very short, heavy shower appeared. It soon disappeared and the sun kept making a brief appearance and we saw no more wet stuff. Scotty80 removed his baffles, with a little help from Tyfio and a flat blade screw driver for a stubborn one and put his Blade on the mobile Dyno. 'It's running rich at the top end' was the consensus of opinion and 126bhp said the paperwork, sounded well
"You dare rev my bike"
We started to leave in our own time and I had a decent ride back up the now open, M1. I Rode through a couple of short bursts of rain that caused no drama's and after a couple of races with over enthusiastic drivers to help pass the time, I was home in 3hrs 50 mins. Over all it was a good turn out of every model and plenty of original and after market paint shemes. It would've been nice to see more from FBR but it didn't spoil the day.
Really enjoyed today lads . As I've alway's said, it's the people that make any club and going on the handful I met today, FBR has a sound membership. I look forward to a ride out w.end next
cheers

Re: Blade day 2012
Special thanks to Scotty80 for setting up base camp at 0800. Due to a misunderstanding Gumsey went through central London and yours truly legged it round the M25 finally meeting up at traffic lights on the slip road, strange. Mileage round the M25 was 76 miles, return journey through city was 36 miles. It was a good turn out despite a few absentees however a lot of interest was brewing as a result of our banner which Scotty got changed to .org if only it was .orgy I'm sure the membership would have doubled overnight. lol. Big surprise of the day when Steve (fireblade46) greeted me and had'nt a clue who he was, I worked on his bike over 10 years ago finally apologising for over jetting his blade. All in all it was a good day as many members were turning at various times will post my pics later.
