Sadly not this year. I rode there last year, diced with the lunatic commuters and spent 2 days cleaning the bike. The show itself was good, less crowded than NEC with a few showbiz peeps to chat to.
The discount on an ABBA stand was worth the ticket price too.

Re: Anyone heading to the MCN show at the Excel?
Hmmmm How far is the show from Heathrow????
I SHOULD fly into London Friday morning and leave a couple hours later, but I could change my flight until later in the day and go to this.
(This all depends on what happens at work in the next week or so).

Bloody hell
Think after a 4hr car trip to Jodhpur, 2hr plane to Mumbai, 10hr sit in a hotel then the 10hr flight to london, I might give the bike show a miss if I need to travel across London and back

Re: Anyone heading to the MCN show at the Excel?
I went today; at first I thought it was a pretty big rip off at £25 a ticket but once you watch the "Revolution" show with McGuinness, Hodgson, Lampkin etc it kinda makes it worthwhile paying out :-) had a fantastic day (although a bit shit at the end cos my bike broke down on way home and I had to wait 3 fecking hours in the freezing cold for the RAC to come rescue me!!!!) but hey, was too good a day for anything to spoil it. Go with mates and you'll have a laugh talking to strangers about bike shit :-)

PS - drinks and food are extortionate prices so unless you're minted, take a bag with you with goods in it ;-)

....... if I'd have known you didn't have a ticket, there was a spare ticket up for grabs today as somebody couldn't make it today .... it was sold for £10 :(
There were some "complimentary" tickets going round the last few days, but apparently they didn't include the Revolution Show, which was good
Hope you get your bike fixed soon.

lol is ok Jules I made my infamous Chimpy sarnies and took a flask of coffee. Without the Revolution there isn't much point in going to be honest!

A phone call away would have had you back home within the hour. Fully charged battery fitted, disconnection of the alternator wires and it would be home lady P.
Relected on your facial expression with your puncture on the M25 and I legged it home

That's what I figured. I was in London on Thursday for work, and umm'd and ahh'd about popping in PM for a lookie.
£25 on the door is rubbish considering I'd have spent about an hour looking round. I went for home early and extra brownie points.

lol I'll never let you live that down (I also notice you haven't let me ride your blade since either?)
Didn't want you to have the hassle of Friday traffic plus the freezing temperatures as I know the cold does you bad xxxx

Nowt wrong with the infamous Chimpy sarnies you should have made some extras and sold them to pay for your ticket.
I didn't go to Excel last year as I was unwell, but they were a bit sneaky with the pricing this year.
Last year £29 included the Revolution show, this year it was £25 - so it was £4 cheaper .... HOWEVER, last year if you just wanted a ticket to the show only, I think it was £18, this year the only ticket you can buy is £25 - so it's £7 more expensive. The guy who bought the spare ticket didn't go to the Revolution Show.
There were some advance deals for tickets, £10, £15 and £20.
In 2010 I didn't go to the Revolution Show. I guess it depends what you are looking to get out of the show as to whether you think it's worth going. I got there @ 09:45 and left at 15:45 as the car park ticket had run out and to try beat the rush hour traffic. I could have stayed there longer.
I'll probably go again next year
