Now then

Took her for a ride.
Met a couple of Lads on Gixxer 1000's at Teasdales in Thirsk. They were going to Scarboro and were waiting for their Mates. Had a bit of 'craic' with them and decided to ride with them for a bit. Their Mates turned up, 916, " 2 x ZX6's, GTR 1400 and a Rocket III. We stopped in Helsmley for a smoke and chatted. They were saying how busy the roads were so I suggested going through Hutton-Le-Hole over the moors towards Whitby and they agreed. Once off the A170 on the road to Castleton there was hardly any traffic at all. It was glorious weather aswell, as I'm sure it has been everywhere today. Through Castleton, left in Danby and onto the 'T' junction at the A171, Guisboro to Whitby road. I left them there because I had to get back (chores to do Rideout Sat 9th April 30198 ) and I came back via Great Ayton. Stopped for a 'P' below 'Roseberry Topping' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roseberry_Topping and was home for 13:30.

Cheers

Enjoy it JT, nice roads round there too. I tend to go from mine through Ponteland, up the 696, then left to Hawes after Carter bar.

Ended up at Kielder today. The bunch shrank to me & a mate with an FZ1, so thought better of going to the lakes, as no doubt it will be mega busy, and the boys in blue will be out in force, so a trip to Carter then down to Kielder was the order of the day. Enjoyed it, roads reasonably quiet, no cracker jacks out. Soup & bun at the visitor centre and set off for home about 1:30.
