Now then Kaiser
Have a great day Mate. Would've had a ride up but at work Sat morn.
Don't feel too nervous lookin at the bikes with tyre warmers on and all the whistles and bells in the fast group, some of them are steadier than you think once you get on the track.
Go get'em Mate

Off home to clean, check oil, tyre pressures, and get the bike loaded on to the trailor

That may take some time, i don't think i have ever seen so many ratchet straps on one bike, force 9 gale, wouldn't have shifted that thing.

Re: Knockhill Sat 2nd April
I've just started using these self retracting ratchet straps I got from Busters, they save so much hassle!

Fair one - first time with the bike on trailer - Did you sense some paranoia
Bike didn't budge a single bit.
Had two bikes on Saturday and again - my bike was fine, my mate obviously had past caring about hsi bike by then after his off and his bike started to tip toward the inside of the trailor so I strapped his down for him and that didn't budge.
Used those buckles Sam..................although they have a short length they are exetionally useful ad use them as my security straps with other ratchets hooked up as normal.
Had a graet day - first two or three morning sessions were wet and for some reason my battery was flat on the bike. I had Loris Baz & Westemorelands mechanics from Motorpoint Yamaha BSB team trying to get it started with their starter, great guy's and were really helpful.
Once I got on track, started off doing 1 mon 6's in wet down to min 4's in dry then on to 1 min 3's consistamtly until I took crap in the second last session so came in and called it a day.
My mate with his ZX10R came off, second sighting lap at Clarks. No idea how or why, front tucked at Clarks. It was wet / cold and I wasn't out at that point because I was trying to get my bike started with the Yamaha guy's.

Re: Knockhill Sat 2nd April
Cheers mate - was a good day - worked out well, got chatting away to the BSB team garage and had the chance to show off my pit crew skills - needless to say, they never hired me
It looks dry to so must have been one of the sessions we started to pick the pace up.
Either that or I'm trying to fart without the follow through

Re: Knockhill Sat 2nd April
Sounds a great day, looks nice in that shot too. You do look intent, hopefully on your lines not the cheek control.
Fitness, hmm, I remember having that once.

Re: Knockhill Sat 2nd April
I didn't push on as hard just by braking earlier & not having the full throttle given at every opportunity so I could concentrate on my lines. Got my lines fine, just need to sort out my braking and that would dramatically change my lap times.
Control, lean & front end grip issues were all ironed out for me which helped me build from Donny and get my lines and confidence back. Just no knee down but not too worried about that, was as quick if not quicker than most a part from a few that were in on a different level to me, just now
Hope I can get a few more pics - can't make it out if it's the hairpin or Clarks
Fitness - I was knackered and sacked the last session because I was cramping up in the second last session

Re: Knockhill Sat 2nd April
I very rarely do the last session anyway.
Not for lack of fitness, simply because i have had enough by then, so start packing everything up, for the trek home.

Re: Knockhill Sat 2nd April
Nice excuse. I should use that, but the sight of my panting, red-faced bulk generally means people make their own assumptions.
If you are properly knackered stopping is better than making stupid mistakes.

I think that's a lot to do with my trip through the tyre wall last year.

Re: Knockhill Sat 2nd April
Well you're back there soon. And getting the knee down is only important while you're trying to do it at first. Once you can do it you stop bothering and start saving knee slider instead.
Re: Knockhill Sat 2nd April
True - think it's been born out of frustration of not having the confidence to do it. Been baw hairs off doing it, just need to actually stick my knee out a little
