No need for the earplugs FBF, i'll be quite happy listening to my pack of stallions singing down the A21... In fact, a pair of ear trumpets would come in more handyfastbikefinder wrote:I'll bring you some ear plugs!wild bill wrote:Damn fookin right i'm keeping the pipe onNo, John o Groats.zedhead wrote:is this from boxhill to fox's ?

We normally meet in the Aldi carpark (exactly in that red circle) Crofton Road Locksbottom at 9:00 - 9:15 then set off from there at 9:30 - 9:45 down the A21. I suppose it would be like doing the Run in reverse for you, be good to see you either way mate

Re: Mayday Run to hastings
We'll probably get to Hastings for 11'ish and we normally park near the corner of the A259 and Rock-a-Nore road, to be more precise, between the Brown wooden huts and the sweet kiosk (in the red circle).megawatt wrote:what time and where in Hastings and I'll meet you there?
If the suns out i can see this being one of the busiest Maydays in history, should be a good laugh

Re: Mayday Run to hastings
Well a few of us eventually made it to Hastings. My mates Tom from Ashford, Matt from Deal and Morpheus from Brighton left my place and we threaded our way to the end of Rock a Nore road to park and met Scotty 80, Masterblader and Matt from Worthing at the cafe for fish n chips.
We had a walk to the main carpark to meet Hamish n his mate John straight from work and eventually made our way back to the bikes. Headed off to Rye, but a light shower sugested we should head back to my place.
Morpheus turned up with a knackered chain and sprockets on the 600RR and replacements in his rucksack, so we set to and did the deed in an hour.
Here we are The Three Amigos
Also repaired Morpheus paddock stand bobbin holder and fitted his replacement crash bung following a crash at Cadwell last year. See ya again soon gents, a really great day!!!

Re: Mayday Run to hastings
A good and bad day for me really, initially i was gonna blow it out but by 9:15 the sun was trying to break through so i quickly put my gear on and headed down to Locksbottom. Once i got to the Aldi carpark i bumped into 2 mates that only rode down to see the pack ride off, at this point the sun was out and i was thinking about going, it was at that point it went so dark i thought there was a solar eclipse! I hastily said my goodbyes and started to ride home only to ride straight into a fookin monsoon that lasted till i got about a mile away from my house.
So i got drenched, the bike got dirty and the sun come out once i put it in the garage
On a good note, i had a bbq, played some loud music, ate far too much and got a little bit tipsey

Re: Mayday Run to hastings
The weather played a major part in the attendance figures at
Locks Bottom. It was over 50% down so decided to follow the masses at a civilised rate as the route was littered with those recognition plate vehicles the Police use. Met up with Megawilly and his henchmen at the seafront and booked in for an early lunch before the late starters surged in. Well the biggest surprise has to be when Megawilly offered to pay for my lunch and nearly choked on the next mouthful, that gave him the opportunity to swipe half my chips, dip sauces finishing with a direct attack on the battered cod. AW you still owe me a lunch
When it came it came to payment as usual he cried povert and for the first time the forum can see his wallet.
