painting brake calipers
I've stripped all the old paint off my calipers and bought some acid etch primer. Can anybody recommend a make of paint for em. I'm told I need High temperature caliper paint, but could that be for cast iron car calipers?

Hi Megawatt
I don't think the heat will be a problem here, i rather think the brake fluid is worse ,causing discolour and damage of the paint lacquer.

Re: painting brake calipers
i painted some calipers once, with black gloss, it never faded ,one day i did manage to spill a tiny spot with fluid and it killed the paint slowly even efter i washed it with soapy water. I redid my painting with caliper paint but then again it doesn't like brake fluid
(rem the real heat is from the brake discs)

Re: painting brake calipers
Yeah, that's what I thought. Most people advise , just use ordinary paint. Cheers mate!
