Re: My CRR1000RR-05
I love the look with the pipe exit out of the undertray. Whatever the colour, it looks great.
1 thing tho, the rear res needs moving behind a sidepanel or something?
Can't wait to meet up at the Ace n see it in the flesh, if ya goin.

Cheers Fringe, it took months of searching daily to find that exhaust system but well worth it i think. The rear res is coming off, i've got the HRC mini res sitting in the garage ready to go on along with the red Venhill braided hoseFringe wrote:I love the look with the pipe exit out of the undertray. Cheers folks... I'm hoping the wheels will be the finishing touch fingers crossed.
I should have it back together on Tues/Weds then as i mentioned before i've got a few little bits left to do to finish it, i reckon about 2 weeks and it'll be completely done (except crash bungs) and ready for action

Still unsure what to do with the belly pan as far as decals go, gonna just leave it blank until i have one of those inspirational moments but that also means it could be blank for years

The whole bike is made up of inspirational moments mate, you've done a great job - think you should get a black Honda sticker same size as the orignal with a gold border.

Re: My CRR1000RR-05
Cheers dude, i know that must've been difficult to write considering it's the nemesis colour
I was considering just having CBR1000RR along the bottom in gold where the old Honda decal used to be but after thinking about it i've changed my mind, i also don't think any black decals will work because all the others are coming off, the only decal on the whole bike will be the gold Honda sticker on the tank.
I think i need to look at it in the sun once it's finished and see what happens

Re: My CRR1000RR-05
Ok just a quickie because i've got to get back down the garage to tidy up and put my bikes away...
Got my wheels on at last, been so busy at work i've just been too fooked to fit them but my boss kindly let me do a sneaky half day today so i spent the afternoon in the garden sorting out Mr Baron
Once again i'm happy with the results, even went out for a 10min spin and had a little pose, it certainly got some looks, nothing to do with the cosmetics, it's because that pipe takes the pi$$!
It's really loud

Re: My CRR1000RR-05
Yeh you quite right but i think your talking about the link pipe. I was intending on spraying it but i just completely forgot so i'm gonna buy another one and fit that at some point. Not in no great rush now it's back together, i may just leave it till Oct/Nov when it goes back into hibernation for tinker time.fastbikefinder wrote:Looks like you need some elbow grease on the exhaust downpipes though ?

The linkpipe and downtube.
No need to paint it as they polish up really well, or you could get it ceramic coated a colour of your choice.

Re: My CRR1000RR-05
I've still got 3/4 of a tin of VHT Alloy sitting on the shelf ready to do the link & down tube I may get the elbow grease on it at some point in the next week or so to try and improve it for the Mayday but failing that... it's there till end of playtimefastbikefinder wrote:The linkpipe and downtube. great reading and a lovely bike.
My fav colour is red with gold and that bike just makes me dribble.
Have you thought about the gold forks from the HRC 07 model?

Had a surprise visitor this morning Wild Bill turned up and in reality a proper Officer and Gentleman but he brought with him one noisey bitch. Like a true woman she wanted to play to the camera
and so tantalising begged to be mounted, WB made sure the keys were tighter than Megawillys wallet so had to go for other option. The lens dont do this baby any justice.
