92 RRN back on the road at last
Cross post from the new members forum but thought it may be of interest to some here. see here for 'before' pics

The blades back on the road. Sailed through the MOT.
It may look much like before but it's had a fair bit done
New OE rear shock(all pivots cleaned and greased while I was at it)
powdercoated wheels
new wheel bearings and seals
recon'd radiator
Air filter, oil filter, spark plugs, oil, coolant
valve clearances checked(all spot on)
carbs cleaned
Still got a few jobs that i'd like to do. EG. fork rebuild, paint fork lowers, paint water pump housing, new fairing fastners, new screen maybe as this ones a bit scratched, replace harris rearsets with standard ones and ideally some decent rubber but that'll have to wait
It'll never be 'mint' but it's a damn good, usable original example. only snag now is wether I keep it or not! Chances are it'll only get used 2 up(ain't got no rear footpegs on the SP1) which is a shame. We may be better off with something more suitable(CB1300, hornet or similar)
On the other hand it should never depreciate so maybe daft to sell it?
Rides really well and am well impressed by it's ease of use and perfect fueling. the SP1 is a real handfull in comparison.
Any ideas on value? Not that i plan on selling it but we'll see how I(we!) get on with it over the next few months.

No problems, she looks a peach, I do like that colour very classy..I'm returning mine to completely standard at the moment also, prepairing it for mainly showing....not got much to do, just to take off the extra's I have fitted and put the originals back on..

there definitely seems to come a point in a bikes life where all the add ons of it's youth start to detract from it's desirability! early blades are now at that point where standard is best in my opinion.
I've always liked the urban tigers as well. Fortunately my brothers just gone and bought one so that'll save me having to do it!

One small point I have noted, the rear brake hose from the resevior is routed wrong, it should be the otherside of the subframe, it looks a little vunerable there, see pic of mine to compair..

Re: 92 RRN back on the road at last
good spot. I suspect it was routed there as the previous owner had the rearsets as far back and up as possible which would have meant bending the pipe under the subframe. I've moved them forward and down so may be able to re-route it. If not, then once I get sorted with some original pegs I'll do it then
