May Day Meet
Gumsey Mileage and self arrived at Locks Bottom around 9 o'clock bikers were arriving
fast and furious taking up every available parking space. Its at times like this when you realise what a tight community we have and to meet up with mates from yester years was just great. It has been quite on the site so met up with a few members and headed for Hastings. Gumsey led on his scooter early and the rest of us followed and the crafty git beat us to Hastings. We headed for the fish bar had an early lunch I took a stroll into the fish market and bought the most gigantic crab for my tea.
Six of us headed towards Rye where there was a further crowd of bikers which was impressive always thought it was a small fishing village how times have changed.
We then settled in for some afternoon tea hoping that Megawatt would pop in to pick up the tab no such luck. Next time round Megawilly. lol. The most amazing thing about this run there was hardly any Police this year and produced the most incident free meet.
Springy1 looking for his cream cakes
Woodyer just flatly refused to be mother and dish out the tea.
Cabbie looking over his specs expecting cucumber sandwiches
Wild Bill just didnt like the lens unless he had a BBQ in front of him then poses
Gumsey's facial expression says it all WTF did I bring the scooter. lol

I ain't buying you lot any brews or chips until you come down here for a rideout Mique. You knew I was here and so did Bill. Nobody rang me or texted, so **** the lot of ya!!! I can't ride as far as Boxhill anymore , so I'm stuck down here on my own or with Umox.

Re: May Day Meet
Must say I was impressed with Rye, the number of bikers turning up seems to be more popular than some days at the Hill. The number of classy tea shops its on my list of must do's as this was the place I had my first get off and took over 40 years for Rye being re-visited.
Will be down very soon Alan, my nephew goes back this weekend so it will be back to normality and hopefully make it with George.

In our last conversation you said you was arranging to meet up with Mique! Other than that the Mayday was a bit hectic and i didn't think to call you so i do apologize because i know your only a stones throw away.
We only stayed in Rye for the length of a coffee and a ciggie then we was off again but as Mique says it's definitely on my "to do" list a few times this year and i PROMISE to get the brews in next time

Re: May Day Meet
MMMmmm interesting, that's not a bad idea actually, i should imagine there's a lot less traffic on the road during the week? The only down-side is there will only be a handful of other bikes in the harbour to look at but that's no big issue.megawatt wrote:Unless you wanna come down midweek? No cops around midweek???
I'll give the Master a buzz along with the usual suspects to try and arrange a mid-weeker in the not to distant future, sounds like a plan

Re: May Day Meet
A paramedic mate reported a Repsol rider was airlifted to London on the May Day run the bike was only three days old being that new cant see that being a speed related accident. Poor bloke 52 in critical condition.

Re: May Day Meet
Was trying to get my hands on that tyre Alan, if I can get down on the 500 I could bring the bead breaker and remove the tyre myself if that can be done before the 19th? Leaving the 19th free for your special lunch offer
