Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it's gonna be raining this Sunday
On a lighter note, it'll be a scorcher on Saturday

Re: Rideout this Sunday 6th June
I'm sort of keen but not sure how far I can go as the wife doesn't want me too far away as the little one is only two weeks old, but feel like I've been stuck at home forever.
If you guys are going to go Box Hill, Newlands corner or Loomies cafe way I could always meet up for some of the way.
Cheers
Steve

Oh $hit! Sorry Steve, would've been good to meet you but i've only just read this post... A few of us went to Box Hill this afternoon, you didn't miss much, i reckon there was less than 50 bikes in the carpark but i suppose it's the rideout that counts.Kiwiboy wrote:I'm sort of keen but not sure how far I can go as the wife doesn't want me too far away as the little one is only two weeks old, but feel like I've been stuck at home forever.

Re: Rideout this Sunday 6th June
No worries I only got as far as Newlands today as I spent too mch time talking to guys about bikes instead of getting a move on.
Did have a play around the Pirbright Bends a couple of times which is always good for a laugh and there wasn't many Surrey Officers around as It's Epsom Derby day and they all end up there so was fairly safe going a bit quicker.
Not really a fan of Box Hill as you tend to get more interesting bikes turning up at Newlands most of the time (but wouldn't eat the burgers there last time I did I got food Poisoning)
Cheers

Mmmmmm, very interesting on two counts there Steve.Kiwiboy wrote:Not really a fan of Box Hill as you tend to get more interesting bikes turning up at Newlands most of the time (but wouldn't eat the burgers there last time I did I got food Poisoning)

Often thought of going to Newlands but never been, i may have to check it out now to see what it's all about. And, very strange you say that about the burgers at Rykas cafe, we don't only go to Box Hill to check the bikes out but also to have those burgers! I personally think they're the best around, think you may have just been unlucky mate.
Might be worth starting a new thread about a meet at Newlands for next weekend if the weathers ok, i'll try and drag a few people down there with me.

Re: Rideout this Sunday 6th June
Yer damn right you do mate. I even took notice of the forecast for today, heavy rain , thunder and lightning all morning, clearing later. Got up after a lie in and it had almost completely dried up. Umox ,George, Hamish, Tom and Johnathan all turned up at different times and we eventually set off for Rye at 1300 . Only a coupla dozen bikes in Rye , so we did the Camber road both ways, the Canal and Tenterden roads, a can of coke at Tesco's in Tenterden and then finished off with the challenging Wittersham road. Had to get home for 1515 ish to cheer the Boss up and all is well. The weather was hot and sunny all day with a light breeze, perfect!!!
Here we are about to set off from my place in Northiam;
A short rest in Rye and we were off;
Won't see ya next weekend as I'm on 12 hour days, then it's Belgium on the 17th with Mickey, Rocket and Hamish!!!
