If you want to lend it to my wife for the occasional summertime journey then there's plenty of space here to help you concentrate on your other projects

Hmmm brutally honest..not sure matey...Blades don't seem to carry off the single colour look, but hey that's just my personal opinion

Well i think it looks great, a few stickers or some choice vinyls will set it off nicely, see it as a shiny blank canvas.

Re: Repaint project RRS
I appreciate it's a mobile phone pic; with you saying its bright in the sun, is it a pearlescent white?
Often wondered about a Blade done in pearlescent white; it is a colour I really do like.
When you say white base, you don't mean the flat ross white do you?
Not quite sure of the red rim tapes though; it seems they are at odds with all the white like they are hinting that there should be some more red somewhere all the flanks to carry the colour through.
With you working in a sprayshop I was keen to see what would come out; expecting a sort of showcasing of your talents, as it were.
So didin't expect a plain white bike with a few stickers off Ebay.
Might not be the kind of reactions you've been expecting, but so long as you like it, what difference does it make?
Like the Yanks say "opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one."

Re: Repaint project RRS
I think that's pretty cool from here, and pretty original but does it look like you bought a pattern set of bodywork?
I can't tell as I'm on works computer which isn't too good.

Re: Repaint project RRS
All original bodywork....
The Repsol stickers came from a motocross shop
the wings and Honda stickers from e-bay..
Its not pearlesent yammydave but all car or bike white colours have some sort of other colour added to it, we painted it (not me) with no added colours, right out of the tin.. 501 i believe, straight white base with a clear coat. very shiny. (Iam a panel beater. 20 years served)
I nearly added some colour flake to the clear coat but decided not to in the end, In my teens i had a Honda MBX in pearl white and it was just to dirty looking for my taste..
Doing multi colours is a very long time consuming process and to be honest as the winter past i was seeing more and more Bikers on the road i just couldn't wait any longer.

Re: Repaint project RRS
Any danger of some better pics so we can see what you mean by the look of the colour?
It is a bugger when the weather improves and the bike's still laid up.

Re: Repaint project RRS
Well it's growing on me, though I think close up it'd probably look better still.
I reckon I could go for a pearlescent white only in retrospect.
At moment I'm kinda wondering where you're gonna mount the blue lights.
Still I'll bet you clear traffic easily!
