Now then westy
Reims is a good place to head within your proposed mileage. It has the old formula one racing circuit opened in 1926. It is an old road racing circuit and because it was a road circuit, you can ride over the old grid with the remnants of the grandstand and pits still there. It's between two roundabouts and you can ride fast as you like from one to the other, great feeling. It's worth stopping at the remainder of the buildings and having a look round, it's very earie, in a good way, you can literally feel the history.
There is also a motor museum in Reims itself, small but worth a look. To and from there just take any 'd' roads and you won't be disappointed. There is a national parc area just south of Reims and there are some lovely roads in there

Similar area to JT's suggestion, but just a little further north of Reims is the Ardennes. It is on the border of Belgium, which means watch out for exceptionally poor driving skills.
Have a look at some wigglies here:- http://g.co/maps/eem3c
If you have more time, you can head east to the Ring too.
