Hagglers been tinkering again.
As title says............It's that time of the year again, not dry enough for a blast, bikes clean n ready to be ridden but too wet,Ah well, what shall I do?
I,ve been thinking about this for the last few months ,while in France I saw a few Blades with this mod...............So here goes, seems to work really well and I,m sick n tired of scratching the paint work of the Blade
This is how it normally looks like
And after the mod
Quick release bolted to a spare seat I had around,I gutted it,added some spacers into the foam and then re-covered over the spacers and bolted the quick release onto it.

Re: Hagglers been tinkering again.
I,m a lazy old git nowadays Shad, with this set-up it's just"Turn the key, lift off and book into the Hotel",before it was "Spend an hour securing to bike and then another hour un-doing all the bloody straps again",if you popped into a cafe on-route or went for a piss you would constantly keep looking to make sure no robbing git made off with your kit!!..........NOT NO MORE!

Re: Hagglers been tinkering again.
Same here m8,now you,ve got an 05 you,ll miss the "Boot Space" of the Tiger, theres only enough room under the seat for a pack of fags and side panniers will only scuff the paint work!!
Tank bag might be a problem aswell................Tank cover is plastic !
If your in the market for a Rack I have a fairly decent Rentec one I was going to shove on ebay going.............It cost me £25 last year,I was thinking £15 should you be intrested?

Re: Hagglers been tinkering again.
maybe, can you attact a box or anything to it neatly without scratching the paint?
i am thinking about getting another spare seat and a box to do what you have done. im guessing you can't use that seat as a seat any more?
do the bolts go all the way through?

Re: Hagglers been tinkering again.
Hang on, ive just worked it out, near to Christmas.............. loads of parcels to be delivered.......................Haggler is setting up to take advantage of this.
"Blades couriers, your parcel delivered quick as a flash"
Why trust your important delivery to another haphazard company, when with Blade couriers we have the highly experienced staff needed to get the job done right, first time, every time.
Next time, your thinking of sending an important item, trust us, we will get it there, quick as a flash.
It is very practical though mate.

No, the only thing my bike carts round, is the fat blob on top.
Do you want me to make you a pink basket, to match your bike ?

Re: Hagglers been tinkering again.
Now then Perry
Great innovation, I like your thinkin. I used to cable tie a Nonfango back box base plate to a renntec rack on my XJR before I got a Givi Wingrack and it worked a treat. Having a secure, solid, fully waterproof box, for your w.end away gear, as you say is much better than a soft luggage tail pack or throwover's and quicker to put on and take off
