Re: trackday space!
The center of the track, looked like a building site, because it is, they are still working on it, leveling out the bit opposite the pits, i think to put grandstands on.
The rest looks ok.

Fresh tarmac round melburne loop which I couldn't get on with all day but a side that, the track is just simply amazing mate

Note to self, dont go camping when its -5 outside.
It was and thanks for your kind help
Tell you, being in that tent, freezing my nuts off, planes flying overhead (which by the way were well in excess of 95db), hooting owls, no pillow so usuing rucksack & kitchen roll for that purpose was a drama. Sacked it just after 3am I think for heated seats in the car
Great day though, took the first two / three sessions quite easy but found a good pace 4 & 5 then just chilled on the 6th.

Surface is amazing mate.
Had hoped the photographer would have been round the S's when I was hanging off the bike left & right, all the way round and up to the long sweaping corner (can't recall the name) before the chicane.

I loved Coppice when I was there, but I probably wasn't pushing as hard.

No, a few years ago, on my blade.
Its a strange corner, with a crown in the center, so if you get on the inside, it fires you down the straight, but get on the other side, and its a one way trip into the gravel.
I way just pushing to early on a cold tyre.

The course they repaired last year, didn't include the melbourne loop, so the track could open sooner.
It was repaired over this winter and used for the first time by bikes, in feb, they opened it up this time, as the wsb's are there on friday, so wanted some rubber laying down.
Normally you would pay extra, for the full gp track, over the national, but i think they got a good deal this time.

Re: trackday space!
fantastic weekend apart from what the kaiser has said about the camping it was effing baltic i personaly enyoyed the craner curves, having been a spectator at various bike events over the years at donny and to actualy get to finaly ride the place myself ( even though i missed the sighting laps and the first session due to my bike not wanting to start after being stuck on the trailer all night in the freeezing cad!) its an awesome piece of tarmac got me kneedown a few times i particulary enjoyed getting it down at redgate as your going in there at a fair lick . quick word for poor Glyn he got one session in and his bike started spewing coolant so he got black flagged and never got it sorted so that was his day over! ( he put the bike on ebay mon and got £500 for it ) coming up to knockhill with kaiser in may so hope to bring the good weather us he can also get his own back on us as we did a bit of jock bashing over the weekend

Re: trackday space!
I would love to do the full circuit again, not sure about the shortened circuit without Melbourne Loop though and I agree, Craner Curves is like a mini rollercoaster ride all the way round until the exit of the big double apex and then on the anchors for the chicane and again for Melbourne Loop with the front wheel lifting up the hill on the exit :0)
