Snetterton 300 is awesome!!
hiya folks
great day had and really lucky with the weather
was a bit of a shock to get there at 6.45 to find all the garages nearly full
we were told in the briefing that there would be 18 more riders in each group due to the track being a mile longer, great!!
1st session out in inters (still wet) and 2 sighting laps then all systems go, sat behind 2 riders into riches and suddenly 2 bikes dive down the inside making all 3 of us sit up, twats i thought. get round the hairpin ok then up in front i see a bike somersaulting through the air and another bike and rider spinning on the track. wonder who that was lol
session stopped grrr
next 2 sessions both red flagged mid session then the fun started as the track dried
the little R6 was perfect, was worried it would be lacking but passed loads of bigger bikes in and out of the corners and confidence was sky high by the end of the day
big thumbs up for the metzeler racetecs, were sticky as fook
did meet murky waters whilst sitting in the pit lane, made me laugh as he went round for another lap when everyone else came in
the 2 wannabe racers bikes...
booked again for the 24th march, anyone else up for that?

My mate Jack was there, white gsxr600 in the wet sessions, then a black R1 for the rest of the day.
I think its gone from a track only the locals would visit, to one that its worth going over there for.
Im going to book Mallory in April, then go from there.

Re: Snetterton 300 is awesome!!
the new layout is great, fresh tarmac on the whole circuit now.
turn 2 (the hairpin) is nice and wide on the exit and also a bit uphill. turn 3 is the fast left hander where all the offs were, funnily enough my favourite bend, fast and flowing and a fairly short straight into turn 4 a tight left letting it run out wide for the fast left hander then another tight right hander which i found har to get right. funnily enough there was a yellow flag out there all day.
the next is a fast right leading back onto the old revett straight.
all is then the same until you go around corams, now even longer round until hard on the brakes for the last turn, a nice left hander back onto the start/finish straight.
geared the R6 perfectly and didnt miss a beat all day
pleased how well i went considering my bad back.
was with No Limits mate
