Re: Members routes to Firebladeday 2010
Well i had a very in-depth conversation last night with Masterblade who popped round my gaff yesterday eve.fastbikefinder wrote:Bill, what route are you planning to take from there?
I'm keen on Denmark Hill, Camberwell Green, Elephant, Westminster Bridge, Parliament Sq, Birdcage walk, past Buckinham Palace, Hyde Pk Corner, Park Lane, Marble Arch, then up Edgware Rd to A40 then hook a left but...
Masterblade pointed out there maybe some protests or marches going on around Westminster (as they do) and also the fact we're goin right past Lizzie's front door could attract the wrong attention and we're end up getting stopped (and he's probably right!) so... Instead of going over Westminster he suggested Waterloo Bridge, under the Kingsway underpass and straight up to Euston Rd and do a left there.
Masterblades route would probably be the best for a group of riders to stick together, and i do that route everyday for work so i know where the cameras are

Reckon that would be the most straight forward and practical route for a Sunday morn WB. If you led I could play tail end Charlie to ensure the group remains intact. First one there gets the brews!!!!!!!!!

Re: Members routes to Firebladeday 2010
Sounds like a plan to me MB, first one there sounds even better to me because i'm happy to lead to the A40 but i've only ever ridden past the Ace Cafe before and i'm not sure what exit to take to get up there so... Your have to take the helm from the A40, what was that about getting the brews?masterblader wrote: If you led I could play tail end Charlie to ensure the group remains intact. Graham, left you a PM chap
Woooooohoooooo I am at home result on the job this week got it nailed in record time and not too many cock ups (running out of nitrogen didn't help).
Without jinxing the weekend If I do not hear anything from work by 5pm then its all guns blazin' for my attendance at the ACE
I am in great yarmouth so if theres any from here then shout and we can meet up to then meet graham and simon (fbf).
I feel its going to be a great day weather wise and even better having us all meet.

Here's a map of where you need to go, the little turning for the sports center is just under the orange marker, once you turn in keep to the left and it will take you up to the old CP ruins where your find us.

Re: Members routes to Firebladeday 2010
Morning All, beautiful day, isn't it? The guys coming in from M25 J28, along the A12 to the A406, any idea what time you might get to Gants Hill, Redbridge roundabout area? May try and tag along from there, if possible, by dropping down off the M25, down the M11? Thanks
