Windermere Sunday 6th June
As one of the organiser's of this charity event for Help for Heroes on the 66th anniversary of D Day, 6th June, brief details of the event, and more on the web site www.cumbriacharitybikeride.co.uk
Amongst the guests stars are two local brothers James and Dean Ellison.
James as you know rides for Swan Honda in BSB, but after an accident at Thruxton the other week is sidelined currently. Brother Dean has been loaned an R1 for the event. Other stars including Roy Walker of Radio One and Catchphase fame, and from Coronation Street, Bill, Steve and Tyrone.
James should be on Eurosport this week-end as has gone to Cadwell, and promises to seek out another mate of mine, Jamie Whitham, so more on line publicity for us.
The event is well marshalled, leaving Bowness on Windermere at 10.30am with a Police Escort, the band will play and an unique atmosphere created in the heart of this tourist hot spot, where some of us have to live (unfortunately!! ) and finish’s in Cockermouth.
Make you own way back to Bowness, or do you own thing!
Join us if you can, or meet again another day

Re: Windermere Sunday 6th June
Just arrive, drop your money into one of the ballot boxes (have found a proper use for them!) soak up the atmosphere and enjoy yourselves.
Every biker on Bowness promenade got stopped by the Police last Sunday, and told to come back again on the 6th of June.
Postive Policing for a change!

Re: Windermere Sunday 6th June
The road from Bowness to Newby Bridge has had major surgery on some parts, so as smooth as a baby's bottom now!

Re: Windermere Sunday 6th June
Now then
Look's like it is :-
On Saturday 11th June 2011 the renamed Great North Rideout (formerly Cumbria Charity Bike Ride) will roll out from the lovely market town of Cockermouth, along the same coastal route as before, to finish on the Glebe at Bowness on Windermere
