Quick spin this Saturday 22nd

Looks like guaranteed good weather for this Saturday so me and Cabbie are gonna have a blast down to the Isle of Sheppy for a bacon roll and a coffee. If anyone has some spare time this Saturday and is up for a ride please feel free to come along, the more the merrier.
We'll be leaving here (Beckenham) for 10-11am

Just finished polishing the blade be nice to see chuckle brothers, MasterBlader,Megawatt etc etc, it's been a while.

Have you got a postcode, Googlemap of the meeting place gents. Will be nice to meet up at last???

Have a booked service for Saturday fellas would have loved to have that ride to Leysdown that would bring back some cafe racer memories.

Your more than welcome to come along MW, when you say "meeting place" do you mean where we are going eg Isle of Sheppy or where we're meeting in Beckenham?

In brief... We're leaving from here, going out to Sidcup and getting on the A20, then onto the M20 to Junction 7, then onto the A249 that takes you onto the Island, then at the roundabout turn right and follow the signs for Leysdown B2231. Once in Leysdown, ride down the promenade towards the seafront and the cafe on the left before the pub at the end is called the coffee pot.

Hi mate 10.15 is just fine, there is a cafe next door to the bike shop, grab a cup of coffee if we arn't there before you.

Hahaha, don't know if they're biker friendly to be honest, i've been there several times with the Mrs'n'kids and they was quite pleasant, it's not like we're the Mad Max bikers collecting the corpse of the nightrider... anyway, even if they aren't biker friendly there's plenty of other cafes on the promenade that will happily take our money.

How about if you come off @ junc 7 onto the A249 then pull in at the first petrol station you come to on your left (think it's a Shell garage and a Little Chef next door a couple of miles up the A249) I'll call you just as we leave the cafe, i estimate it will take us about 50mins to get to you at the Shell garage.

Definitely... We will be going past the BP/Maccy d's so we can pop in there on the way, hoping to leave Beckenham between 10:15 and 10:30 so i should imagine we will get to you 20mins later, probably 10:45'ish...Look forward to seeing ya.

Was great to meet everybody today. Gave myself an hour to get from Northiam to Detling hill, took me 40 mins! The guys turned up exactly on time at 1115 and we headed for Leysdown on sea. weather was cold and grey!
Arrived in Leysdown, took a while to park the bikes up as at first they felt like they were gonna fall over on the sloping bike park. So we moved the ugly bikes towards the sea and all was good.

Went to the public toilets as there weren't any in the cafe? and then ordered coffees and breakfast while we had a natter outside.

Had a good laugh and a catch up with Wild Bill , Cabbie and Scotty 80 . and said hello to CBRErion and JamieC.
Just as the sun burned it's way through the clouds , everyone else decided to head for home for barbecues and family stuff. Here's a pic of Cabbie showing Bill that his nipples were no longer stickin out through his tee shirt??? Strange relationship those two?????????

Yeh man, i thoroughly enjoyed myself today, was great to put a face to the names.
Shame about the weather when we first got there, seemed to clear up once we got our gear back on to leave.
The ride home got slightly out of hand at one point, my clock was reading 177mph when i glanced at it and thought it might be an idea to back off slightly

A great day was had, looking forward to plenty more summer rides..... Cheers

@Megawatt... When my wife just see those last two pictures of me and Cabbie she roared with laughter, she said we look like a pair of boys! You could've at least let me know you was taking photos so i could put my "mean hard face" on, i look like a black Julian Clairy with an afro thanks to you!
