putting streetfighter back to standard?
hi guys, right i have a k reg blade that has been streetfightered
i am wanting to put it back to standard as im not too keen on streetfighters.
now the advice i am going to need is what am i going to need?
top and bottom yoke?
forks?
fairing brackets?
fairings (obviously) lol
lights?
and does anyone have any of the parts i will need , could always swap for the fightered bits, or ill just buy them lol
Here are some pics so you have an idea of what it looks like at the moment
Thanks
Adam

Re: putting streetfighter back to standard?
Not to sure what top yoke you have??? but if it's been drilled for risers than then you'll need another.
Obvious things standing out to me are indicators, Exhaust can, rear fender, clip on handle bars, the fairing + brackets as you said.
Forks look original ish...they might possibly be off a later model but are blade all the same.
How far do you want to go?
Radiator hoses too?

Re: putting streetfighter back to standard?
looks pretty simple cos its not a great fighter!
top yoke, frame support, bars and fairing
will be better standard than it is now IMHO

Re: putting streetfighter back to standard?
yeh agreed, get a top yoke, some bars, fairing mounts, fairing & screen, then just buy a pro-bolt fairing kit to fit it.
or...
Get top yoke, bars, fairing mounts & pro-bolt kit,
then buy a new replica fairing from Hong Kong for £350'ish?

Re: putting streetfighter back to standard?
This is the first generation of fireblade many are being restored to their former glory with the intent of future classic values. The definition "standard" will depend on the quest for originality costing bucks. FBR members are steeped in knowledge and are all willing to help out, just post up for parts or technical guidance.

oh right well what im wanting is the fairings in the same colours as the bike is now as i like the colour scheme, if possible i will be wanting the tail unit as well, because the one thats on is a bit tatty.
how much would he be wanting for it all?
and what exactly has he got?
Thank you to everyone else for the advice.
all i want to do is get the standard fairings and lights back on, i like the hoses how they are.
"fastbikefinder" i dont see what you mean by the exhaust can? :S lol nothing up with the one thats on i like the high rise pipe makes it look more pointy at the back
as i said the only thing i want to do is get it back looking like a sports bike.
I will need a top yoke as it has been drilled for risers as fastbikefinder said.
Thanks
Adam

Re: putting streetfighter back to standard?
Wasn't sure how far you wanted to go with your standardisation - exhaust can would of been on the list if so.
