Re: Bitza-Blade
Today ive swapped out the triumph sprocket carrier for a VFR ....and the rear sprockets the same...TOUCH
Swapped out the Hub aswell and ive lost the up downy wheel movement from the bearings
Ive sussed out 50% of the problem
The VFR axel has a 4mm lip on it to centralize the wheel onto the 4 stud. The spacers im using are flush so im purely relying on the seated wheel nuts for this ???
I put a straight edge off of the arm with 1mm gap from the tyre, spin the tyre and the wheel is rolling like an egg !!! So the wheel isnt centralised. The spacer needs a lip to correct this !!
Ive ground out about 1mm from the inside of the arm were the seam is and hey presto....no tight spot
This is not a cure, jus working around a problem
Im still gonna get the wheel trued up on Tuesday and have a chat with a local engineer to see about a proper spacer

Re: Bitza-Blade
The motor came out yesterday
Im gonna give it a good scrub down, degrease and a lick of black satin smoothrite this week
While the motors out i can cut off a few unnecessary lugs n brackets of the frame and engine
Im gonna polish the frame this week and gloss black the inside of the frame as it can be seen thru the tank cut outs. I think a good mix of satin black, gloss black and some polishing will be a good contrast in the engine bay

Re: Bitza-Blade
The radiators plaquing me abit
Its the same size as the early Blade flat rad but for some reason it looks huge....i think its coz its bare alloy
Im abit reluctant to paint it black tho as it will look just like standard to the un-trained eye

Re: Bitza-Blade
think its cos its very square edged where the standard one is rounded slightly. the colour does make it a focus point.
out of interest...how much was it? PM me if you want.
just looking for somewhere decent to build a bespoke rad and piggyback intercooler for the sponny
cheers
