Last year the wife took ill so I went on my own,,, you would not believe how hard it was to give the spare ticket away, everyone kept turning me down thinking there was a catch.
Nearly gave up and binned it, then a guy in a group took it; but I still went in with him so he felt safe that security was'nt gonna pounce on him!!
A freebie...... sign of the times I guess!

Re: MCN MOTOR CYCLE SHOW LONDON
megawatt - there is a deal on with tfl that if you go by public transport you get a 2nd ticket free... so if you and a mate went on the train - you'd be paying half price each....
Anyone know how much parking is gonna be? If its a lot, i might ride in with my mate and get him to dump his bike at my work about 3miles down the road, go in pillion on mine and split parking...

Re: MCN MOTOR CYCLE SHOW LONDON
Trouble with public transport is that by the time you've shelled out for the rail tickets you would have saved enough for the 2nd show ticket AND lunch!!
I went by car last year and had to park on some desolate scrubland at the far end of the city airport, then wait for the courtesy bus.
This year I'm driving to my son's place near Canary Wharf and will get the DLR from there.

Re: MCN MOTOR CYCLE SHOW LONDON
well i have a railcard as i commute in every day on the tube over winter.... so if they count that - then it would mean i could get a 2nd ticket i think....
Travel cost isnt much of an issue, cos i only live bout 10miles away...

Re: MCN MOTOR CYCLE SHOW LONDON
Thats worth doing... I was thinking more of megawatt, eg, people who would have to buy a one off normal rail ticket, if that makes sense?

Re: MCN MOTOR CYCLE SHOW LONDON
Don't forget folks, NCP car parks are usually free for bikes - you could park at the NCP Canary Wharf (very secure - right underneath Canary Wharf tower ) and DLR it from there..??

Re: MCN MOTOR CYCLE SHOW LONDON
Made it to the show on the bike and wot a day got a Frank Thomas jacket at half price. However I feel the days of bikes shows and the like are numbered, most of the stalls now dont display their stock and simply refer you to their website. In days gone where I bought items on impulse because it caught my eye. Whats your view on shows now?
