Photoshop Help needed please
For the last 2 years I've wanted to change the rear end on my RR6.
I've considered untold alternatives but each time I'm drawn back to the same tail unit - the RR8's - which is also in keeping with the blade theme.
It's not a mod seen done before which also makes me want it more (so nobody steal my idea or I'll moderate your profile )
I have other plans I'm considering like a 998 or 955i swinging arm - but that's just a pipe dream at the moment..
I've done a photoshop thing of an RR8 rear end (thankyou Deathace) on my RR6 but I'm no god at the art so can someone use the following 2 pictures:
To produce something like this for me?
Thanks for your help!
Simon

Thanks Chilli - much appreciated - nice join of the RR8 on to the RR6 subframe.

Thanks Russ - look forward to seeing it.
I found it difficult as the red bike is bigger than the picture of my bike - so I was pasting a bigger RR8 rear end onto mine.
With an RR8 rear end to scale I might even consider a stubby can underneath which might also look nice.
I've got to get under an RR8 to compare the space around the bottom of the shock linkages to see if I'd be able to use / modify an RR8 exhaust system to give me the new style exhaust underneath so the rear end would be really clean, but I think it's need the Yoshi to do that - and maybe even the RR8 swinger.

That'd only make the tailpiece faster -not the bike

Re: Photoshop Help needed please
quick and dirty photochop just to get it looking like you perhaps envisioned.
This is with it overlapped on the frame (mounting points are well out from 1 to the other model) using the 08 subframe and tail unit.
Stubby OEM can

I,m not nicking your idea but I,m currently about to do the chop to my 929 with the same idea, some of you might remember when I fitted the 954 rear end a few years ago to the 929.Biggest problem for me is the lost boot space.Good bit of Photoshop.

You've certainly done a great job with those Russ, thanks!
Given me a lot to consider as I like both but with the normal exahust I'd go for having it shorter, maybe with a shorter can as the FMF is long top end power jobbie.
The stubby design makes the rear look really clean which is what I'm after - but I think with that I'd probably go for the growler look with a titanium bellmouth coming out of the side.
What program were you using?

Re: Photoshop Help needed please
The bricks are the hardest thing to line up at that angle cos of perspective and vanashing points but its more just to see how it would look I don't have any decent angles of aftermarket cans or I would have put that on instead of my exhaust
I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 for most of my messing about with as its layers are great and you can mess about with all manner of filters.
Glad it achieved the desired effects if ya need anything else doing lemme know.

No worries, pm your address mate.
Can't believe I got it for £10.
Another with the cowl (in white) went onto ebay today with a starting price of £45.
Reason I asked for the picture is so I can get an idea if I need that under cowl or not - It's only £16 delivery coloured matched from Honda - but it may be to short to use as I'm not planning on using a plate hanger at the moment, but all may change.

No need for any more pics at the moment, cheers anyway.
