Nial MacKenzie day at KH
Hi,
Has anyone had experience of the Nial MacKenzie day's at KH ?
I was thinking of doing on next year to try & get a good start in to the Spring/Summer & gain some much needed confidence.
Life on a bike without confidence is a tad grim and it's getting on my nipple ends

Re: Nial MacKenzie day at KH
My very first track day was a Niall McKenzie day and I loved it. It was three to one pupils to instructors and they did their best to make sure all three pupils in a group were roughly on the same pace. It gave me a lot more confidence on road and track afterwards.

I think I'll be booking in to the Nial clinic early next year to get rid of my bugs
How do they actually teach you, do you have them follow you on the circuit & feedback there after ?

Re: Nial MacKenzie day at KH
On the day I was on you followed behind the instructor, he'd wave each of you to the front of the following group (of three) in turn and watch you follow him in the mirror. (Apparently they tried following the pupils but too many tried too hard and crashed). After each session they talked to us in the pits and gave us pointers before going out again.
There was also an open session to just go out and ride, during which the instructor would take your bike out if you asked and give you his opinion of it. There was a suspension guy there too (who nearly fell over laughing when he saw the state of my forks ).

Sounds quite good. I think I could do with something like that early next year to get a jump in to track day's
Feel like I've not been riding long, back to the start, even forgot how to get my body off the bike etc. Trying to get a knee down at the moment is impossible

Takes time for it to start feeling natural. A Niall McKenzie day might well help, and other than that just take your time.
Re: Nial MacKenzie day at KH
Felt nice & fluint before my little incident
Now I'm making the bike feel rigid etc
fancy a crack at the Nial MacKenzie day, something new and should be a good day.
