Yes n no,I,ve been going for several years now and never been tugged for nowt but I,ve heared that they can sometimes be a bit keen with the plate ruler n dB tester (their ears)
Int been much this year due to the bloody rain and I work late 2 weeks of the month but its normally a good meet.

Just a few minutes ride away from me. Not been much this year as I'm always working on a Wednesday night. Will have to see if I can get down there in the next couple of weeks.

Re: Great Bentley Essex
Who's up for this on wednesday 28th of July ??
Literally hundreds of bikes , Burger van and pub on one of the quaintest village greens going.
It's my first summer week off work so I'm planning ahead now.
Can meet Norwich lot at Bury or Thetford areas quite easily, all depends on who is finished work at what times etc.

Excellent Scotty,
It's a great ride from your neck of the woods too. If you go Dartford bridge, then A13 to the A130, then the B roads through Maldon etc up to Colchester then down to Great Bentley its great fun, and very rural.

Re: Great Bentley Essex
MMMmmm i may be up for it, bit of a nostalgia trip for me as i spent most of my childhood in Clacton on sea.
So what's the score then, is it just an annual meet for a chat, does it have anything going on eg music or stands etc?

I live just down the road and go most weeks. Good to meet up with mates I dont see everyday. Not been much old bill this year thank f**k, although I got a tug the other week for doing 39 in a 30 and just got a friendly warning from the two coppers. Good ride out and one I would recomend.

Nothing like that Bill, but it's a huge Wednesday night meet and should be done at least once in the summer.

It's probably from around 17/1800, I used to get there from 1900 and stay until 2100 and there'd still be bikes there.

It's 90 miles from Redhill Chimpy so you're looking at a tank and a bit on your blade.
