If I can I will be there on my new(er) blade
Whereabouts are you thinking chilli?
If any of the southern softies fancy coming up but not riding up, I'll have a spare blade sitting in the garage

Re: Scottish summer run 2008
If I stick to my rotation, I'll be home Wednesday 9th July, so any weekend after that is fine by me & miss954 (unless miss954 has arranged something else).
I'm not telling you you have to have that weekends fix the weekend that has the most people.

Re: Scottish summer run 2008
I was thinking Mallaig or Skye though that would be quite a ride for the eastcoast mob ( oh sounds like gangsters) or Braemar, thats pretty much a good ride no matter what direction were coming from.

Re: Scottish summer run 2008
mmm don't think so Chilli, but it really depends on the road (weather) we take.I was thinking Mallaig or Skye though that would be quite a ride for the eastcoast mob
Easy; Inverness - Drumnadrochit - Invermorison - Kyle of Lochalsh - SKYE.
Longer; Granton on Spey - Aviemore - Kingussie - Roybridge - Invergarry - Kyle of Lochalsh - SKYE.
OK before any of the eastcoast mob starts questioning this, this is only a guesstamate: 4hrs the easy way and 5hrs 30mins the longer way (at legal speeds)

12th is good for me and miss954.
Remember to fit wets to your bike Nutty, you don't want the same result as the last time we were over the west coast.
TRIUMPH (2 up) v Blade

Re: Scottish summer run 2008
Just to put a spanner in the works (sorry Nutty) the Kelso BMF is on the 12th - 13th.
Does anyone from here go to this?? just thinking if they did and we DID pick the 12th, it might compromise the numbers.
IF it rains this time, I'm never going on a ride out with you again.
Also see your looking at the LONGER route, mmm I'm slowing down at the bends before Roybridge then I've seen WAY to many ALMOST crashes there.

No, there's a group I ride with down here, bit of an assortment of bikes - 08 busa, couple of gixxer 600's, & a 750, a 916, ZX10.
So fingers crossed for dry weather
