I was going to do my own write up on how i would do tyre changes and wheel balancing, however i came across this "How To" on the tinternet and i couldnt match this for its great info and pictures.

That is a god find but the tyres light spot is generally fitted inline with the valve.

Also, a really really good way of checking the balance once the tyre is on, and will save you buiding a wooden frame is to use 2 adjustable jack stands, especially as the jack stand struts are generally shaped concaved so your axle will sit in it nicely.

Same principle, as the wooden frame - Put your axles/spindle into the wheel without the spacers and sit it into an axle stand each side, The perfect way - also aids cleaning of your wheel before it goes back on the bike.
