YouTube Bike Build VBlog
Well as I’ve been working on the engine transplant project for the blade I’ve also been putting together and uploading a blog of the build on YouTube. I’ve not posted links to it before because it’s a bit embarrassing but thought in the end I would share it with you guys
There are 13 episodes now logging the progress, the production value does increase as the project progresses and I’ve really enjoyed playing around with the editing software. Anyway here is EP1 don’t laugh as I say embarrassing!!
if you subscribe to my channel or do a search you will find the other episodes.

Re: YouTube Bike Build VBlog
Hi Lamb Chop, I vaguely remember you saying on a vid that you are fitting an Ali side stand to replace the heavy steel one. Which model is the Ali one from? My 95 Blade is on a weight loss programme and would like to do the same. Thanks. The vids are great as is your blade.

Re: YouTube Bike Build VBlog
It's the rr8 onwards stand, works great but I do use the later gear selector of course. I think 89 confirmed you have to grind off the threaded gear shift shaft on the stand bracket as the 900 shift rod hits it. Easy job mind and stand cutoff switch is the same size.
I did find the rr4 and the rr8 the side stand cutoff works in the opposite direction, so had to cut off the rr8 one and solder on the rr4. Thought the stand was up when it was down.. Why they changed that no idea...
