Evo Blade copy project...
Right thought I'd start a fesh thread in projects and will update as I go along, here's where were up to at the moment:
Arrived like this:
Now like this:
Got a set of Ohlins forks on the way to replace the WP ones as I would like it to look as close as it gets.
Still got to find:
Full micron race system
Radiator
front mudguard
53mm clip ons
Discs to fit front Dymag
Ohlins shock
would like to source a set of stock RRW/RRX seat plastics and rear seat aswell so I can swap and change when the Mrs fancies comin out for a spin
Cheers
Steve

Re: Evo Blade copy project...
Well things are going well at the moment, got a pair of brand new discs from EBC 320mm with RC30 fittment seems to be what are going to go in, got the engine mount and shock linkage on the way that I was short of, got a Yoshi race 4 into 1 coming (I know the Evo had Micron but I can always change the can!) Ohlins forks have arrived and best of all I managed to locate a stock radiator, if things go to plan should have it up and running this weekend and on the road for the end of this month...
Cheers

Re: Evo Blade copy project...
Managed to source an ohlins shock thats now on it's way.
Got some work done today, fitted a new D208 front tyre, fitted the new ohlins forks and brembo calipers, fitted carbs, cut the alarm system out of the wiring loom and tidied it up and fitted that, tested the wiring with the new battery and stack clocks fitted all seened to operate ok and spun the motor over.

Re: Evo Blade copy project...
Hit the first target with the bike today and had it running, sweet motor, put the old RRW/RRX headers on that I got with the bike and the micron can (new system not here until tuesday/wednesday along with the ohlins shock) and it sounded very nice
Still missing a few little bits so still hunting them down.
Cheers

Re: Evo Blade copy project...
Thanks mate, found another piece of the Evo puzzle today 39mm FCR flatslides for a Blade (I know the original evo ran 41's but hey who's gonna notice without a vernier ) wasn't originally going to bother with flatslides but they were a good price so couldn't resist, can always sell em on if I change my mind when they get here.
Cheers Steve

Re: Evo Blade copy project...
Ummmm Ohlins & flatslides!!!
Once you go to flatslides you either love um or hate um! & after going to OHlins you'll never want to go back to a standard shock again!

Re: Evo Blade copy project...
Nice one Steve!
Biggest mistake I made was selling my ohlins shock when I had my fighter & replacing it with a RSV mille shock!
Mind you kinda wish I didn't sell my fighter too but you can't have it all!

Got the new discs fitted today while I was sat bored waiting to go to work, fit the wheel spot on and I've only had to shim the calipers inward slightly and all is spinning nice and free

They are damaged apparently, but thought it may be a contact for you for more bits, or if it's cheap enough as a spare
