Brighton burn up.
Just curious to know if anyone's up for doing the Brighton burn up this year on Sunday 12th of September?
The main meeting point is the Ace cafe but i'm not gonna bother with that, i'm just gonna leave directly from here, apparently they're saying there's in excess of 10,000 bikes meeting at the Ace (god knows how they'll all fit in there???) and they expect at least 50,000 bikes to converge in Brighton along the sea front!
Should be quite good, lots of trade & club stands, bike displays & shows, live bands playing and drag racing.
Even the Mrs is up for this one so i'll be riding down on the CB1000...
...Any takers?

One of the mechanics at my shop goes to East Ham for his indulgence with Asian "wags", apparently they have very competitive rates

Re: Brighton burn up.
Thought the rock'n'roll reunion ride was on the Saturday and the Brighton burn up was on the Sunday... My wife and i can only get a babysitter for the day on the Sunday so no chance of doing a weekender with you lot. We'll have to arrange a meeting point somewhere in Brighton for any riders coming down on the Sunday, it may be a bit difficult to find each with an estimated 50,000 bikes turning upmasterblader wrote:WB that will be the Rocker Re-union meet on Marina Drive that I do annually with those Welsh Dragons again. Re: Brighton burn up.
Well i'm keeping an eye on these weather forecasts, at the moment it's looking ok, cloudy but no rain expected till mid/late afternoon but i'm taking that with a pinch of salt. If the weather's ok i'm hoping to leave at 10ish Sunday morning, your welcome to come round here for bacon butty and a brew if you want to ride down with me and a few others.
If anyone else is still up for the ride just drop me a line and we can arrange a meet en route

Re: Brighton burn up.
Dry and bright on Friday then rain overnight and through much of Saturday, although parts of London and the far southeast may remain drier. Dry and sunny on Sunday.

Re: Brighton burn up.
No probs Ginge, will send a PM later this eve...
Just been down the garage with the mop and bucket for a couple of hours giving ole Bess a once over, that ACF50 is great stuff, all the road grime and shyite that got everywhere came off no problems! Even a majority of the crap come off the headers/downpipes with ease! I must admit i did get a bit carried away with it and now need another tin, the fookin winter ain't even here yet.

Re: Brighton burn up.
The old girl cleans up all-right from a distance, so does the bike ha ha. I nearly bought one in the red and white but ended up in a bidding war, a bloke at brands had one about 3yrs ago with ohlins front and back, he did`nt hang about, the tdm 850 i was on eventually had him but it was a tough struggle, small track and despatch riding skills won out in the end.
