Meet at Berwick 23rd (this sunday)

If anybody is interested in a meet/run upto or down to Berwick this sunday we should be there around 12:30, Brian Haley and myself will be leaving South Shields around 10:30 and Kaiser is leaving his neck of the woods around the same time. So if anyone fancies a trip North or South leave a message on here or PM either parties. I'll post a meeting point for the run up by Friday, and same for Kaiser, anyone wanting a run down pm the drunken one for meeting points etc.

On the, "drunken" note, I'll be hung over from the European Cup final the night before

Thanks for the 'heeeeeds ooop' Kaiser but I'm goin back in the workshop Sunday, I'm affraid. I gotta get the subframe remade with a better fixing for the Numberplate bracket before it manages to dismantle any more of my ride n joy!!!!!!!!
If there's another trip I'll do my best to join in.

made plans for a ride in the dales with a group i ride with most weekends to late to change my plans now sorry ...and wont be out for a few weeks after as im going for a op on wenesday next week and im proper bricking it

I'm out too.Moving too teeside for a couple of months.just finished rebuilding the bike and now i have to store it again.Hopefully get it up there at some point.Have fun and dont forget your passport kaiser.

if anyone does manage to make it, we'll be meeting at the tyne tunnel (north side), just past the tolls booths on the left hand side, at around 10:30

run out up to berwick is off, spoke to kaiser and it's pouring down with rain so it's going to have to be another weekend, hopefully soon

didnt get up to Berwick as Kaiser txted Glyn (repsol) to say it was raining up there so me Glyn and his two pals Keith and Raymer decided to have a run up to kielder forest a popular biking haunt in this part of the country. After a nice fast blast to our first drink and grub stop at tower knowle cafe we headed off again to ride just over the border into scotland and then across to carter bar and back down to south shields sea front for another refreshment stop, but unfortunatly we just got over the border and were headin up over the tops on some lovely twisty roads i ride quite often but it was the first time for the other guys on this stretch and it has very tricky right hand bend that crests a rise in the road and has nasty camber that pulls you to the edge of the tarmac as you come over the top and is a gravel run off plus a deep drainage ditch! Keith and myself got through and carried on for about a mile or so before we realised Glyn and Raymer werent with us anymore so we doubled back only to be confronted by Glyn sitting at the side of the road thankfuly in one piece but in a fair bit of pain and his blade a mess, poor Raymer didnt do so well he was bein comforted by some fellow bikers who came across the accident and stopped to help( much appreciated guys and girls if any of you get on the forum cheers ) up shot is the guys were taken to A&E in Melrose, Glyn had x rays as a precaution due to him having chest pain at the crash site but is ok and at home now, Raymer has a suspected broken shoulder and is being kept in hospital! few pics here, didnt take any of Raymer didnt seem right as he was in a lot of distress at the time! GET WELL SOON BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!

Got home from hospital at 9:15, all xrays showed no chest or spine damage, just achIng like fook and very very stiff. Rayma has been kept in with a broken shoulder blade, broken scapula and another broken bone in his shoulder. Both bikes have been stored at a recovery depot in tynedale for collection. Massive thanks go out to the group of riders who stopped and gave great assistance and also to the paramedics and staff at the Borders general hospital, I'm hoping to be back on the road in the next 6 weeks, hopefully next time it will be uneventful eh brian!!!!!

Gutted I missed the ride but thankfull in a small way as it could have been me but hope your both on the mend mate

Of course not mate, these things happen bud, I'll be back on two wheels soon and we'll have a run out and mee up with kaiser or do squires
