Germany Trip
As the title says due to unforseen circumstances a member of our posse cannot make our trip to the nurgberring
We leave on mon 23rd June on the 1215 ferry from Dover to Calais travelling through France and Belgium to our hotel in Germany
We are staying for 3 nights and doing some sessions on the ring
Returning on the 26th June on the 1515 ferry
Cost of trip is £40 ferry and £20 deposit on hotel with 51 euros to be paid at hotel upon arrival obviousley whoever could take this place can pay as we meet up
This is now abit of a rush for someone to take this place and is short notice so please only genuine enquires and would be a first come first served basis
Pm me if you want to get on this as i need to change details for ferry crossing which incurs no extra cost
Cheers Nigel

Re: Germany Trip
Just got back from a 6 day, 2300 miles ride from North Lincolnshire to Dover, Dunkerque down through France via The Alps and Route Napoleon, had afternoon tea on Saturday by the Swimming Pool bar in Monaco watching them dismantle the F1 barriers, stood on the starters stand, pole position grid slot and rode as much of the circuit as possible.
Headed back up along the coast through to Millau. stayed over and stopped off at the Millau Viaduct, viewed from the visitor area where I videoed one of the guys do a burnout doughnut in the stone wall enclosure, the 1st one I believe.
Crossed the viaduct, awesome! The only word for it.
Up towards Paris where allegedly someone on a 2005 Tiger Blade maxed it out in 6th on the open toll road to 180mph ish.
Dont know who tho
Stayed south of Paris for a night and rode 550 miles back onto the ferry and home.
I'm knackered, weary, the bikes filthy, but man I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Re: Germany Trip
Just in case anyone is considering a Nurburgring trip, the guy who took us round on this trip as just an informal holiday for him with anyone invited who wished to join him, his name is Keith, aka Mav, aka The Mavster.
He runs car and bike trips to the Ring, he is an absolute top bloke, friendly, very knowledgable, an excellent rider and looks after everyone.
He found a bike shop south of Paris on Tuesday evening at 6pm who could fit a tyre to the rear of my sons 600RR, he had smoked it on the Alps passes. He negotiated with the guy as he closed the shutters and they took the bike in, removed both wheels, fitted new BT014's gave it a quick wipe down and wheeled it out, 20 mins and £180. Not too bad!
For anyone interested his site is -

If he runs another trip next year which may be Poland/Croatia/Austria, I am there!

Re: Germany Trip
Just a finishing touch to the epic tale, below is a link to the Mavster and his Millau Viaduct doughnut, a 1st I think and done by a Brit.
Also there is a film clip of Mav doing a wheelie on the viaduct as we all cross and one guy films us on his phone, its titled "lazy ride over the Millau Bridge"
Excellent.
