Croft on the 9th MAY 08
ok, bit pissed, and don't chec the boards as often as i'd like - but doing a track day at Croft on the 23rd of may.
i'm in Newcastle so thats the nearest for me. anyone gona join me?
Nutty - i feel your pain woman! did Knockhill last year and F loved it! GREAT track!
I know its a bit late but i'd like to put in a vote for croft as the 2008 group trackday, if for no other reason but to piss off you southern fairy cakes!
please put me down for Cadwell as my second choice (i know ...probably wrong thread!)

Croft went great! met some good people to, Glorious day!
...still no knee down but something tells me that won't be far off.
Had a camera on the bike, after the break i swapped a go with it for some petrol.... it fell off the guys bike and was picked up by a marshall but didn't record the later sessions properly, it works again now and apparently the vid of it falling off is quite funny (not seen it yet), here's what i did get.

Looks like you had a good time. I wish I'd had video on for my visit to Croft - if only to catch me binning it when my clip-on snapped!
Re: Croft on the 9th MAY 08
They are good videos them. I like the second ones angle although you apologise at the beginning, it showed the speed really well and thats good to see . I like the quality of the footage, what camera is that with please. You took some dead good lines and swallowed a few dodgy 'uns up at the beginning, Good effort mate.

The sound is crap but for our needs its fine...and cheap! and like i said, it can take a hit
i mounted it on the fairing brace thing...see on this pic, in front of my left hand :

Re: Croft on the 9th MAY 08
I use a bullet cam with a mini-DV camcorder, which is obviously much more of a pain to set up than that. How long can you record at that quality? And how does the original quality compare to the YouTube quality?
Re: Croft on the 9th MAY 08
It takes SD flash cards up to 2GB which gives you 1 hour of recording at 640 x 480 pixles. thats about twice the size of a youtube vid and slightly better quality... good enough but not amazing.
i would have to recommend them though as they are great value and built for the purpose.

Re: Croft on the 9th MAY 08
I like dropping my footage onto DVD as well, so I'll probably stick with the bullet cam and camcorder. The bullet cam was about the same price as that thing and I already had the camcorder, so good enough value just a bit of a faff.
