04 1000 rr seat unit and rsv swing arm onto rrv
Well now that i am off the road for a bit due to having a op on my sholder i thought now is the time to get the blade sorted. So started today after pickin up the seat unit from Andy (Cove),thanks mate hope the move works out ok, any way was going to leave it till sholder was a bit better but then thought stuff it lets get on with it got the old tail unit and subframe of and set about chopping a spare subframeto get the 04 one to fit but then after fitting it to the bike the seat unit sat way to low so tomorrow i am going to set about chopping the subframe a bit more till i am happy with it. i dont have much free cash at the mo so its all
going to be done on a budget of not a lot but i am sure i will get there with it as it aint going back on the road till its all done. I have a few bits still to find like undertray and seat cowl so if any one has any of the two feel free to drop me a pm,anyway here are a few photos to be going on with will post up more as i go

Well got a little bit done today sorted the subframe out just got to make some proper brackets to mount the seat unit to then get it welded then modify the gsxr 1000 undertray to fit sort out the battery box.
got a dilema do i paint the rest of the body work the same as the repsol bits thats on it or do the seat unit and front fender to match how it is now

Re: 04 1000 rr seat unit and rsv swing arm onto rrv
Mine looks messy as anything at the moment was thinking of extending my positive an negative battery lead and putting it under pillion seat, and leaving reg rec cdi and starter solenoid to where it is dont fancy chopping the loom about.

Re: 04 1000 rr seat unit and rsv swing arm onto rrv
Its on and working but i'm not happy with it at the moment, have found some 16mm rose joints Going to make up an adjustable turnbuckle to replace the dogbone, just need to get some steel bar drilled or cds tube with an internal diameter of 22mm.

It has the standard blade triangles and shock but you have to make up spacers so it all lines up, have sent you a pmnickyboy wrote:Scotty, did you use the standard blade shock triangle, or the one from the aprilla swingarm?
