Huge thank you to Mique for solving the binding engine issue, turned out the alternator was the problem, blade is running and starting perfect now.

ok, hopefully last day in garage sorting final bits out today. just need sensor for speedo as it's not working, plus had to mod the aftermarket nose cone as the fittings fell apart where the dummy light fits in! looks a lot better now that the rearsets and levers have been dipped in caustic soda, no more blingy gold Smile

Is caustic soda the way to clean up the shiny bits? What you do with it afterwards? Pretty nasty stuff aint it? I used it on an old DT125 exhaust as a teenager not knowing what it was and spent a month peeling skin off my fingers frustrated

heh I vacate the garage when Cabbie's using it - he usually uses too much and we end up choking Very Happy

If you want to clean up shiny bits try Alloy Brite, findit on internet. the caustic was for de-anodising the blingy bits

Pleased to report that Posh is safe and sound tucked up in the garage near home. Will be taking her out testing as soon as the weather and work allows (which will probably be when I get back from Spain in March!)

In the meantime will be looking out for some nice decals and tank protector at the Excel Show this weekend Smile
