Scotish "Good Ride" Roads
Hagglers compiling a list of "Good Riding Roads" in Scotland
If any of you "Locals" can furbish the thread with routes ............Google maps sort of thing I,d be mucho graties.
As this year was a bit of a washout as for ride outs etc I,ve decided to put together a select band of riders (mates to you n me) and are hoping to venture op north to sample the roads, the Euro is taking a hammering in the EU,the plod are hell bent on spoiling the fun of our UK riders so it looks like Scotland will just have to bear the brunt of noisey cans, stoppies, and general bikers fun this year.Would prefer the routes to be "Classified as "Fast n furious",Bits n bobs & Educational .
And if anyone can recomend either a B&B sort of thing to cater for 8-10 bikers,a farm House or sumfin of the like would also be mucho graties.
This is in the "Sorta planning " mode at the moment to see if it's feasable to do cost wise.I know some will say "Sod that!,head accross the Pond ,better roads bla, bla, bla"yep I know all that ...........like I said......Just THINKING ABOUT IT!
Nutty..............best you sort a bike out! cus we just might end up at yours for a brew!!

Re: Scotish "Good Ride" Roads
I'm still hanging around I got fed up with anything forum wise, don't know why!!! just did.
It wasn't just this forum but all the forums I was on.
It happened at the same time as me transfering position in my job, so that might have had something to do with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been working in Barmer India for the last 6 months but I've been told there's only 1 more hitch in India and I'm not sure where I'm going next.
When you lot thinking of coming up to Scotland then??
That link I put up with a few runs on it is ok, but I wouldn't stay in Fort William now 'it's gone down hill'.
Oban, Aviemore, Ullapool are good places, but it all depends on what you're looking at doing.
REALLY, REALLY annoyed with myself, I missed the chance of another 954 in blue/black with only 2000 genuine miles on it last week
Bloody thing hasn't got any of the recalled done to it yet either

Re: Scotish "Good Ride" Roads
Haggler, i did have a few routes from when i stayed at Fort William a few years back, you may even have seen them. I dont think i unearthed any secret roads lol though!
I cant find them on this pc, but they might be on a disc somewhere. If you need them let me know and ill have a dig out.

Now then Haggler
You might find a decent road or two in my write up from 2010 Mate
http://www.firebladeriders.org/t7511-ullapool-w-end-aug-2010?highlight=ullapool
A Mate has organised a week away for 4 of us this year. Taking in the Cairngorms, across to Ullapool and Island hopping off the west coast in July, can't wait
