Mayday Run on Bank holiday Monday 7th May.

Just letting any of my old buddies on here know a group of us will be meeting in the Aldi carpark at Locksbottom between 8:30 and 9:00... weather permitting.

Be good to see any of my old sparing partners

Have a good'n mate, I shall be working the holiday weekend.

unfortunately i cannot go as have to work, was looking forward to this as well.

Will be there for the annual pilgrimage WB. Weather permitting Springy1 and self recalled 2004 when it was chucking down and never made the M25 junction that was the only time I'd missed the MayDay run for 20 +years.

Look forward to seeing you & Springy1 at Locksbottom MB, the only reason i won't be there is if it's raining, my rabbits foot is almost bald where i've been rubbing it for half decent weather... forecast is just saying 'unsettled', just have to wait till the weekend for more details i suppose.

Shame you can't make it Gums, it's been a while since we went for a blast together.

I should be there as long as things are ok with my little one

Should try to make it if the weather's ok Haggler, to be honest there's a massive turn out even if it is pi$$ing down, however if it does rain i'm not gonna bother.

The weather's saying rain at 4:00pm on Monday at the moment, that's not too bad because i normally leave Hastings to come home about 1:00pm.

If there's any change in the weather i may well have a blast up the Hill with you on Sunday Chimpy, will let you know matey

He has come down to the meeting point in Locksbottom a few times but when everyone leaves for Hastings he rides home, you know what he's like when it comes to the old bill, and the route to Hastings is saturated with them

The weather certainly put a damper with just 100 bikers at Locks Bottom. Patchmania (Graham) popped over as I'd overslept and convinced me to get my arse into gear. We left late half way there Wild Bill spotted me and waved realising it was too dangerous to stop we headed to the meeting point 10 minutes later WB and his mate Dean turned up. After brunch and brew we left around 1 oclock as the weather was closing in only to meet up with Springy1 and Woody on his street fighter whilst on the A21. Despite the poor weather it was good to get out and occassinally give her some handfuls.

Looks like you had a better day than I did, looked out of the window Monday morning........Oh what a result!!......SUNSHINE .........game on I thought,quickly husttled the other half round a few carboots and headed home to suit up and fire the old girl up........10 mile down the friggin road and into a curtin of rain,the rain followed me around allday till I came home!!,I did manage to put in 100 miles but not at any large throttle openings as I did,nt want to land in a heap miles away from home.

Well i enjoyed the Mayday even tho it was the quietest one i've ever encountered. Weather was ok'ish and even sunny at some points but as MB said we left early and missed most of the rain.

Good to meet up with you MB, will have to pop round for a coffee and a chat now the weather's improving.

Look forward to the brew WB. It was good to see you on the Red Baron did you realise I was tagged by Springy1 and Woody on the A21 so stopped in a layby to have a quick chat about my cockup and returning a disc with some Ring pictures.

I didn't realize it was Springy1 and Woody but i knew you knew the bloke on the R1 fighter after you gave me the signal, i kinda had a feeling you would stop for a chat but i was more concerned about the black clouds getting closer and i wanted to get the baron tucked away.

After you pulled over i stupidly decided to give it a quick squirt just before the M25 turn off and went past a bike copper doing 140, luckily he was going the opposite direction but i was worried he would radio ahead.

Thankfully all was ok
