first ever bike project

hi all new member here spent the last few hours looking around and have come to the conclusion that streetfighting my bike 1990 cbr 600 isnt as easy as it looks.
got a couple of questions 1, how hard is a usd fork conversion and 2 how hard is a ssswa conversion cheers for any help graham the newbie scooter

Easy on a Fireblade mate , dunno bout cbr600. This is a blade forum?

1990 CBR600, the CBR400 nc29 swingarm should fit as the bikes' crankcases are the same. Any use?
This will give you the gullarm which looks great. You might also need the nc29 rear wheel, I think the chain spacing might be different. You'll have to look into it yourself. This also gives clearance, with high pegs, for a stubby GP style exhaust. I did similar on a CB-1


I'd forget about USD forks on that, what's the point? They will cost what your bike will be worth in the end. Consider a set of CBR900 forks, they look the biz, allow you to use gold 4-pots off a cbr600rr3/4, and you might be ok to use your wheel and discs if you get the forks from a 92-97 (before 310mm discs on 98-99). Here are some on my CB-1.
