HA!! Have you taken into account the gearing change due to the sprockets??
LC - Glad you managed to get out and do some miles - it must be difficult having such restraint in the right wrist

Re: Updating my RRW
Haha mique it wasn't in top gear don't worry not ready to put that much load on it!
I'm running standard gearing now James, thought with the extra power would switch back to standard. Have noticed the speedo is out quite a lot though with the cbr600 clocks.. Put it down to gearing before but Had my mate tell me when we were doing 70 and my speedo was reading 59 so need a speedo healer to correct that

Good shout on the gearing! Gutted to hear about the speedo being out by that much though... I'm going to be running 15T front and std rear but I'm assuming I will need a speedo healer for my bike too then?? :( Money is starting to run out a little after those SP1 wheels...!!

Yes it will James, with the Vfr rear end I had a tooth down and the front and 1 up on the rear, was still a little out but not as much.. Thought going standard gearing would correct it but its made it worse :(

Re: Updating my RRW
well bike is now fully run in and I have to say im a happy bunny
Went out to loomies with the brother inlaw on his 11 blade and had a bit of a mad couple of hours. so many old bill around it was a joke but managed to find some quiet roads and gave the bike a good workout. Power from 4 - 8k is much improved, much faster pickup than before, from 8 - 10 doesnt feel that much different but its hard to tell for sure..
Handling with the new wheels and rear arm is much faster and had some serious fun on the A272 toward winchester keeping up with the 11 bike through the twisty's and he's a fast rider.
Going to be a fun summer I can tell
Big thanks to Mique for the engine work, couldnt have done it without this mans help and I wish you a speedy recovery Mique. Will pop up to see you on the bike and give you a hand with the ebay stuff

thanks guys, its only held together with sticky tape and blue tack to check the fit, its all appart again now for final checking and clean up before going for welding. loved the 900 engine mique built but just wanted more power! greedy man me hehe.. should have an easy 150 at the wheel and with the 900 short wheel base should be a blast to ride!

Re: Updating my RRW
Redesigned the engine mounts and made them out of thin board to check the fit, I will then give them to the welder so he can copy them Have to do left and right as they are different.

Re: Updating my RRW
well been in the garage tonight (again) not done much today, stripped my frontend down and removed the chain from the swinger. I also finished off the engine mount template and even sprayed it silver (what a tart)
I also started looking at the RR4 loom, well what a nightmare mess!! Thinking of mounting the rec under the beam where the old coils used to mount as this area is quite clear and perhaps putting the ECU next to it. The Rec wires will reach to this location but will have to put it on a plate so the heat can be dispersed properly. Fuse boxes perhaps on the bulk head behind the head stock.. not handy I know will be tank off to change them but they are huge buggers!!
Still need to buy head light loom and coil loom, I think I need the secondary fuel rail loom.. not sure seems to be loads of grey injector connectors there..

Re: Updating my RRW
Little update, engine and frame are away at the fabricators getting the engine supports added. Expected back on the 18th so some time to kill.. Before they left my company I built the engine up with the airbox etc, going to need some tank mods to clear the airbox, thinking of using my tank as just a cover (gut the inside) and fit the RR4 tank underneath. All depends if the filler neck lines up properly, wont know until the engine is back so I can try it. pic
Im also fitting the 2012 clocks, have both wiring diagrams and have worked out what needs to be connected (I think) gear posistion indicator wont work of course as uses a switch in the gearbox for this on the 2012 but I think everything else should appart from lap timer. made a bracket and mounted the clocks to the 900 support
Also cleaned up my swinging arm and gave it a good polish up, frame will get the same treatment when its back
