Exhaust Wrap

Post by cub on Fri 09 Dec 2011, 08:08

I am fitting a new belly pan which is moving the radiator hoses closer to the downpipes prob 20mm away from them. I have 3 options so far, I can wrap the downpipes in exhaust wrap, wrap the parts of the downpipes nearest the hoses or wrap the hoses. The pipes are stainless so it's not cosmetic, but am wondering if fully wraping the downpipes would cause excessive heat build up in the head? Any ideas?

I doubt you will have a problem mate with moving the rad forward. Haven't heard of overheating heads with exhaust wrap, but I'm not a fan , so haven't taken a lot of interest.Try one of the yank sites?
