oh bugger, i hate making decisions
I had some spare time on my hands this week, the work kangoo had an lpg system fitted at one place, track rod ends, bushes, bearings and rear shoes at another, gearbox oil change at yet another, so i`ve had time to work on the street fighter, fitted and wired up the head lights, indicators, tail section, fittted and bleed the front brakes, handle bars, stripped the carbs as bike not run for three years, checked all nuts, tidy`d wiring and cleaned it, all this was to sell it,
i`d already removed the r1 front end, r6 tail assy, underseat pipes, all with the intention of selling those parts separately then selling the whole bike with a new mot.
Well she fired up and ran so sweet and quiet and smooth, its only done 400 or so miles since it was rebuilt, 945 with wiseco pistons, matched con rods, 98 the best year cams so i`m told, balanced crank, gas flowed head, stage one dynojet, kevlar clutch, new ish gearbox, 137bhp at the wheel, no flat spots, pulls really smooth in any gear at any revs, all the engine casings and rocker box cover chromed, chromed disc rotors, radial master cyl, i wont go on, so the mot was next on the list thats where it started, i wonder how much the insurance would be, i already have two bikes on one policy, Carol Nash, they do a classic policy, not quite, a modern classic they call it but that really means just a normal policy, so i got quoted £163.00 third party, not bad you say, a bit of chat later and nice lady put me through to their web based spin off company, no frills insurance, nice guy quoted me £72.20 third party fire and theft, i needed time to think, true to his word he called me back in half an hour, i could`nt resist and paid for it, now, help, do i use it for a couple of months and sell it taxed and mot`d, or do i keep it knowing i`ll only use it 3 or 4 times a year, i`ve invested so much time and money and effort, i love the blade but i`ve got an all singing and dancing super light weight semi streetfightered 04,
If i`m going to keep it i would have Harris performance make a proper bottom yolk for the r1 front end, i`d use a 7inch round single headlight, and if i can find it a street fighter store bottom cover to suit their clock mount, i already have the underseat pipes, the link pipe needs chrome and the end cans need a carbon wrap, at the most £400 or thereabouts, and of course a paint job, rattlecan black or professional custom, help me to decide please.

If you can afford a spare toy, keep it. It's a smashing spec list and a tidy build

Keep it mate. You won't sell it for what you want or deserve to get for it!
