Went on this last year and already booked up to go again June 26th. For those of you who really enjoy taking your riding to the limit, i would highly recommend this package. There,s space on my tour if you fancy riding with another Fireblader.

Its a 4 night 3 day tour. Prices have gone up of late like everywhere else i suppose. Think its something like £472 but will drop another £40 if there are more than 8. We have 8 at the minute.

I will have a look and see if I am up to anything else around this date, i.e. Moto GP and come back to you especially knowing how good Wheeltrax are.
What bikes are going, where from over here and anyone else from this site?

I try to avoid trying to time laps as its a recipe for disaster. I have been known to do 8m10s before on very quiet evening. Generally feel comfortable around 8m45s - 9min mark as thats plenty quick enough to get a buzz and still be reasonably safe.

400 laps, wow.
That is a very expensive 400 laps though mate, I bet you know it by now though.
One of the best roads out there is an area/road called Gelbactal or something like that with a sign saying 22km with a snaking sign, you get to the end and just want to turn round and do it all over again.

Different people learn the Ring at different rates. Some think they know it and push too hard too soon and have the inevitable off. Nowadays i get more of a kick taking newbies round and seeing their faces when they complete their first lap.

The other funny thing is first timers thinking they can really hammer down the finish straight and then realising that you need to come back into the car park, opps, lol.

When you get there on your Blade don,t get carried away racing your mates. My advice is go out on your own for a couple of laps and just get your head around the place. Reads the rules, carry the emergency number and keep to the right when the fast boys come by. Don,t tag onto to someone thinking you can keep up, just keep on your own.

I don't know if I would have laughed at him or panicked for him.
The cars waiting to get on were amazing as well as the Ring taxi Aston Martin but then you see the Ring Bus and people waiting to go round in coaches and people carriers.
What makes me laugh and this doesn't just relate to the Ring but track days is people will think they are quick on the road but riding the track is different, well people that are fast on the road and/or track think a one way road, The Ring will be easy to get round quick and be quicker than the fast cars but it isn't easy being over 22km long with kerbs like mountains, decents that take your breath away and people that know the road like the back of their hands so if you guys haven't ridden it before please take a word of advice, when you see two headlights coming, indicate right and keep right.

Followed the M5 ring taxi a few times. They generally circulate around the 9min mark. Watching a 500bhp car with 4 passengers in sliding sideways around a 120mph left hander for fun is something i wont forget for a long time. Lost sight of it a couple of times due to the smoke pouring of the rear tyes. Mad mad Germans Wheeltrax motorcycle tours 213877

Try the Carousel, that is a good one to get right, just remember when you are on it don't try changing from top to bottom or the other way round.

Mmmm, yeah, came out of it a bit early on my lap in 2009 I remember. Want to start at the beginning of the track and try and learn it bit by bit but as it comes at me rather than missing sections. Pretty good at reading & learning new roads, have to be up here in the Dales and on the Moors or you get caught out Laughing Should get 12 -15 laps on the Sat if the weather is kind. If not, it'll be spent in the bar dreaming of the perfect lap drinking

Playstation has a couple of games that let you wiz around the Ring.

Below is a little vid of me on my K5 Gixer 1000. Not a full speed run as i was showing my mate around a half lap. Note how it pays to look behind all the time as a couple of BMW ring cars want to get past. Creamed them at the finish though dance

In all due respect I think you could learn a track by playing a game/watching YouTube but not with the Ring as it is too long and isn't a track, you will notice that if you need to run wide and off the circuit, hopefully you won't though.
