Firebladeriders Trackday
Right, since nobody else has started it, here goes. Who wants to do a Firebladeriders Trackday? Which track ? What date? How long a meet for camping, rideouts n socialising (piss ups)? Don't just answer the questions, think how you can contribute and don't go off topic or I will delete your post. Midlands seems best, so that's Donnington, Rockingham, Silverstone, Darley Moor(for Peak district) or anywhere else? If you don't post on this thread , it gets ignored! Come on people, spring ain't far away????

Re: Firebladeriders Trackday
Rockingham national is like a mini cadwell park, silverstone is very wide.
So what are we looking for, all meet up in a cheap b and b the night before, pub food, yep up for that. contribute, research a few track dates and prices, maybe a group booking,

i think a cheap b&b is a good idea, i hate camping and dont own a tent lol. tbh i like the look of rockingham or silverstone.

Average price, there are some at £25, i`ve stayed in a few, the cheap ones are ok, but it might be nice to treat your self.

I'm up for it, don't mind where but 20th March might be a bit early, could still be a cold track.

Re: Firebladeriders Trackday
Id rather sit at home than go to Darley moore.
Another choice is mallory, but the surface is getting really tired, people can finish a new tyre in one day there, i destroyed a supercorsa, on a standard R6.
As i said before, it really needs to be a 2 day event, so say a sat and sun, march is to early, as the last 2 years ive booked that early have been snowed off.
Silverstone will be double the price what the others are.
I wouldn't stay in a b & b, or a hotel, with a van outside loaded with a bike and all the other stuff, thats why i sleep in it, they would have to take me to!!!!.
Im leaning toward rockingham, as donny is short on dates, unless there is a load more to be added to the lists.
There is a travel lodge, or hoilday inn about 1\2 mile from rockingham, on the same estate.

Re: Firebladeriders Trackday
In my humble opinion, and feel free to ignore it, March is too early. A National Meet should attract as many as possible, so should be between June and September. I know , trackdays bloody expensive. Some could do a 1/2 day and rideout later or earlier. If you don't camp, barby could be difficult? I need to keep costs down! Over to you?

Re: Firebladeriders Trackday
I agree up to a point, June July has washed out 3 track days in the last 2 years, i`ve found august to oct pretty good for the last 3-4 years, but i`ll join in whatever the date

Re: Firebladeriders Trackday
Trackdays and cheap don't even come in the same sentence, the double headers i did last year were between £400 and £500, yes you could do darley for £50, but its shite, if your doing it as a one off, with stories to tell the kids, then pay the extra to do silverstone, or donnington, trust me it will be worth it.
How about a couple of dates, as the chances of being able to meet everyone's requirements are slim.
So say march\april at mallory\donnington ?
Then aug\sep at rockingham\silverstone ?
If people are moaning about money, then its pointless looking at donnington or silverstone, as either of them will be £160 +
You cant do half days either, well you could but you would still have to pay for the whole day.
You could use it as a base for a rideout, say watch people then go for a road ride, but don't offer to spilt the day, as once people have been on track you wont get them off again.

What about mallory in april, you up for that ?
I can make it my first outing of the year then.
That way you can keep the July date at rockingham for the others, if it fits them.

Any 'Caravan owners' should take them along for accomodation onsite - saves getting wet putting tents up. I'd fancy hiring a motorhome but £400-£500 per weekend makes them pricey.

Not very central or the easiest to get to but Snetterton is getting a re-vamp this winter which looks like it'll be well worth doing

Did I hear someone saying "Snetterton"?
I,m only 15 miles away...................and I have room in my garage for 10 or so Blades, plenty of room (well floor space).
Some of you may remember I hosted the first FireBlade mass rideout with several peeps staying over, was,nt the greatest of days more a learning curve but with 40 or so bikes to keep an eye on it was obvious things would happen but generally peeps had a good time.Theres a possibility of another such event maybe although the roads in Suffolk are not very good compared to elsewhere in the UK.
