Nice pics danidge, my baby looks all alone out there Smile

That slammed n' stretched CBR did look nice I prefer the black swinger over the polished ones ya see.

Without listing the entire cast of the forums and their bikes lets just say that we all have a passion and that passion brought us together for a thoroughly good day and everyone got home safely which is always a bonus this time of year when the suns out and peoples visions get impaired (SMIDSY).

I am up for the runway meet but unfortunately the colour debate wont be settled there merely reinforced RED RED RED Smile

Good points Russ, thought you were going Mick Jagger and painting it black though.

If the runway meet comes off then maybe we can get Megawatt to bring his caravan as the Hospitality suite? rofl

You lot ain't clean enough for my caravan! A runway meet , with some timing lights, somewhere central would be great. If that don't come off, how about just a weekend camp in an area with great roads and no cops or cameras???

OK then, as there is some interest, I better start tallking to the boss/owner of the Airfield and see what we can come up with. They might sack the idea off straight away but it's worth a try. I'll have to find out who to speak to first but I'm sure my mate Chalky will know and he can give me some contact details.
I'll see what the score is and go from there.
If I have any further developments then you guys will be the first to know.

BE CAREFUL what you wish for guys/girls, I busted up ALL the back end of my 954 on a airfield strip when my new chain "fitted by the dealer the day before" snapped. cry
We had 2 bike cops and a van with their radar guns to give us the speeds "they said it was a good way to test/calibrate the gun" and it helps public relations.

We tried again the year after, but the owner wouldn't allow because of insurance reasons pullhaur2

I'm confused why everyone never met each other!!!!!!!!!
Was there not a stand that you could intruduce yourselves 1 by 1 so people could put a face to the name "and chuck abuse at ya" Twisted Evil Line up in a orderly queue. scratch

That was the very first thought that went through my mind SB. Your day sounds great (other than the chain snapping) with police issue radars to get accurate speeds, bet they had a good laugh themselves!

Whatever happens, if we do a "run what you brung" day it won't be a freebee but i'll be more than happy to chuck a few quid in the kitty for the "Blade festival of speed" Laughing

Edit:- Can we arrange this soon eg within the next couple of months?

No offence to any members if they are in the force but even though 'Gene Hunt' might be all pally, a relative of my wife is in the Met and brags that he's never off duty! I dont trust him as far as I could.............etc.
they also have a bigger gang only a Radio call away to get ya as soon as you put wheel to highway.
Having said all that-
I'm well up for the airfield run if you can get it sorted, Jay. happyahh
And a Tyre van would be good too- my Rear Tyre is Evil and Must be punished! evil whistle

The T shirt idea to get folk known was a goodun and would have broken the ice better but I must say I met loasda people and even if they werent who I thought they were(!) had a good ole chat anyway.
Although its good to put faces to names there's no way I'll remember who anyone is next time we meet anyway. Hahaha. ..............except a few and some road that kept getting repeated by one bootless member????? tongue

Reguarding the insurance thing- surely we have a Legal Eagle that rides a Blade and can sort out a disclaimer to be signed at the gate?

I met loads of people but didn't get the chance to talk to everyone.

Insurance will always be a grey area. Some will want us to have it and others wont be bothered. All depends on the venue / owners.

I used to 1/4 mile sprint with the NSA. I can try n contact them and find out what the score is? Think we just need to pay for a day license, about 40, and they take care of everything else. Probs have to join in with an existing sprint, North Weald , near the M11 is a possibility. Shall we look towards somewhere in September, I'm away all August???

Danny: Not a problem, I had a leisurely ride back (yeah right me and leisurely on a blade do not mix).

I am busy rebuilding the house this week and away on monday for a couple of weeks but I will give you a ring when I get back to go for a jolly somewhere.
